Nice work
Glad you are up n running

The Rom you are testing A95x F2 is only
2/16
Your Box is 4/32
So system only looks for/needs to read 2 gigs of Ram.

Ethernet lan is a whole different story.
Maybe try USB Ethernet Dongle if you really need wired .
It's possible a Rom from another S905X2 will yield working Lan.
However you may lose wifi/bluetooth..
So is a coin toss...

For system bars go to
Settings
slimBOXtv Settings

Options there to hide/ etc...

Happy Testing
You should be able to install the Lan and Ram drivers from the Beelink GS King X or the A95X Max Plus into the Slimbox Rom, right? I think that should work, the boxes are available with Android 9.0.

I've tried so many twrp versions that I don't know what to do next.

Does anyone have a working one for me?

A95X Max S905X2 u211 Android 9.0 I would prefer an img version and not zip.

Thank you for your help.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Possibly with Lan maybe could .???
The kernel only has provisions for 2 gig

How are you going to edit Rom/kernel and add to it????

Do not even know if that is possible?
Without building your own SDK
Way beyond my skill level.....
Lol

Maybe others have suggestions.

Good luck

Happy Testing

Google Playstore has had free apps, which, can lock individual apks(possibly settings).

Thank you very much for your recommendation. Unfortunately, all the app lock software here can only encrypt the system settings and cannot encrypt the settings of slimBOXtv separately. Nonetheless, I appreciate your assistance : )

since i have working ugoos am6b 2021, with atv 54.8 last month, can i update to 54.9 without erase all, because i cant erase box every 2 months? it will be big issue?
Slim House recommends full flash with >Data Erase for firmware when there are system amendments.
- He had re-introduced patches for minor increments, as you may appreciate.
- Appreciation works both ways, I believe his website allows for donations. :coffee:

** Most of all, if it is not broken...don't fix/flash it. Feel free to keep an eye on any future updates. **

Can I install slimbox on Mecool ka2?
Firmware supports various s905x4

If no one else replies, you would have to risk testing,

-Possibly research specs/ open device on check chips?
WiFi
Ethernet

-Device drivers(Possibly in firmware if not stripped out?)
Web Cam? drivers
Recording audio

Go to Slim's telegram chat and post question and link to factory firmware....

Hello Reaper Man. Kindly let me know if SlimBox supports the H96 Max W2. It is not listed under the W2 on the Slimbox webpage, but the specs are similar to others that are listed there:

CPU is Amlogic S905W2 Quad-core 64-bit chip
GPU: Mali-G31 MP2
4gb ram, 64gb storage
Android 11,
one USB 2.0, one USB 3.0.

Thank you!

If memory chip is the same (DDR3 VS DDR4)
If the the WiFi/Ethernet chips are the same
If Bluetooth chip is the same
You would likely succeed is using another sbx firmware based on similar factory firmware.

Research the specs and be familiar - how to "Unbrick" your China Box.

Casting can be a little touch and go..

For me, Chromecast only works for casting Chrome tabs or my desktop using Chrome browser with the AirReceiver app. (make sure 'Google Cast' option is enabled in AirReceiver)

To cast from my phone tho, I have to use Screencast (on phone) and Miracast (on box). It needs the box's WiFi turned on, and the VPN turned off for it to work. (WiFi doesnt need to be connected if you are using ethernet)
NOTE: on my older phone Screencast is called 'Smart View'.. works the same way tho

    Hello and good morning, @mAtvXk

From the above quoted posts the links to Telegram or 4pda have been removed. For the same reasons, your posts here and here got deleted. Due to the way you try to share links to the two websites I'm convinced you're very well aware of XDA's policies but if you're surprisingly not here's a reminder.

Regarding social media links please observe that as an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads and if thorough support is provided in the thread. These conditions obviously don't apply to you, your posts or threads. Additional information is also available here:

4pda is not only another phone related website (and not at all affiliated with xda-developers) but also well known for the distribution of malware and warez. Links or references to 4pda are not accepted on XDA at all.
    XDA Forum Rules (excerpt):

If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez nor do we permit members to request, post, promote or describe ways in which warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained or used. This is a site of developers, i.e. the sort of people who create such software. When you cheat a software developer, you cheat us as a community.

    • Don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and to offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar / substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.
    • Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software or commercial services, unless you’re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com.
    • Encouraging members to participate in forum activities on other phone related sites is prohibited.
    • Off-site downloads are permitted if the site is non-commercial and does not require registration.
    • Off-site downloads from sites requiring registration are NOT encouraged but may be permitted if both of the following conditions are met:
      A) The site belongs to a member of XDA-Developers with at least 1500 posts and 2 years membership, who actively maintains an XDA-Developers support thread(s) / posts, related to the download.
      B) The site is a relatively small, personal website without commercial advertising / links (i.e. not a competitor forum-based site with purposes and aims similar to those of XDA-Developers.com.)
    ...
Please read my message as a friendly warning, in future to refrain from sharing links or any references to 4pda or any social media and to follow all forum rules. Any further violation may lead to more severe consequences to your account. Thanks for your cooperation.

how can i download full version of 54-firmware for minix u22-xj?

these updates are not cumulative, meaning I have to flash each one of them?
    Full Updates are cumulative.
Individual patches fix noted problems before(incorporated to) full firmware update.
    1
OK but I am having problems finding these updates on slimbox site. For example, there is info that 11.16 is available for Android 11 above and when I go to https://slimboxtv.ru/slimboxtv-11-android-11/ and click on blue button which I suppose say "Download" I get version 11.15.1

Was unsuccessful locating full updates also or I'm just looking for them on wrong site?
You are at the correct site
From the link Reaper Man provided
Click on Top left Home icon
    Or 3 bars
    Click on Firmware Tab
    Move to your China Box
    And select

    Happy Testing

Thanks, I know where to find full FW downloads as this was the way I have initially flashed Slimbox on my device.

However, I never see any links within Reaper Man posts, it's just plain text post for me. After he post replies about new updates I use inbuilt function of Slimbox and use available settings for updates downloads. When I click Download Patch option available in About Slimbox menu I usually see older patch there, in this case 11.15.1 and not 11.16
    Okay
The link was from your post
    My bad.
There is no patch for 11.16
    Was just released
Maybe in future one may be required
11.16 is new and will include patch from
    11.15.1.
    As Reaper Man posted.

Recommend clean install 11.16 latest firmware

    Happy Testing

I have found out how to root SlimRom with Magisk:

    1. Root SlimRom via the settings
Then you will have "Superuser" rooting.

    2. Install TWRP
You don't need to, but you can install your TWRP image permanently via the TWRP app:

    3. Extract boot.img
You need to extract "boot.img" in TWRP:
    Code:
    cat /dev/block/boot > /sdcard/boot.img

    4. Patch the stock boot.img with Magisk manager app
    Install Magisk manager apk.
Press the upper install button and select the stock boot.img.
Magisk will create a patched boot.img.

    5. Now unroot in SlimBox settings

    6. Flash the patched boot.img in TWRP by selecting install, then image, then choose the file, to "boot"

    7. Finally flash Magisk.zip in TWRP

    Thats it.
    5
    3. Extract boot.img from stock firmware
You need to have a stock rom for your device.
Ideally a zipped rom, so that you can extract the "boot.img" out of it.

In case you have an img-file, than you need to extract "boot.img" out of it via Amlogic toolkit:

By this you can extract the stock boot.img from the stock firmware.

This is only good for android 7 images, Android 9 (which most people are using) is totally different.
To root slimbox you only need patch the current boot.img
    In twrp :
    cat /dev/block/boot > /sdcard/boot.img

Then use magisk to patch the img

    Reboot to twrp

Flash the patched boot.img to boot.

    Reboot
