ProjectX ROM (OneUI Based)

Great ROM, successfully installed it on my S20 FE 5G without issues. Magisk Application was not installed, so I just flashed the latest version via TWRP. It also saves me the hassle of manually patching boot.img. I didn't install the custom kernel and opted for the stock kernel for improved stability.

Hi really appreciate the rom it's working perfectly for me the last few days, I've I stalled the v2 on my s20fe snap and I've noticed the o ly issues I'm having is my nfc won't stay on, I can go o to it in settings and turn it on but it goes off soon as I back out, any help or advice would be much appreciated , Thanks

@IrishDevilll nothing related to NFC is touched from our end, everything should be identical to the stock rom for that.
our only advice is if you didn't to begin with clean flash ProjectX over the latest stock update for your FE version (plus redo twrp etc).

if the underlying firmware you have isn't the same as the June base used for v2 that might be the cause, where Samsung's changes are included in ProjectX but not in other partitions on your phone.

ProjectX comes pre-rooted you just need to install the magisk 25.1 apk and root should be working then on.

look in settings > about phone > software info... right at the bottom it should show Android security patch level.
if it shows June there then you're up-to date... if not then you should be able to download the firmware to update on PC.

no you should be OK. I'd suggest backing up your apps, messages etc with Swift Backup... save files to your memory card or copy the folder of Swift Backup to PC afterwards.
move all files you wanna keep out of internal storage!!

then in twrp select format data, type to yes confirm and then select reboot to recovery. then wipe cache and dalvik and then copy ProjectX from PC to internal storage and flash it again.

I flashed you rom but I got

Failed to mount '/product' (invalid argument) error.​

Then the phone went into a boot loop. Any solution?

Edit: I flashed July Stock firmware and now I get no errors but constant loops.

the normal camera mode doesn't take pictures. although it seems like it works (shutter sound, preview is shown), no picture is stored anywhere. the same ist true for portrait mode.
however, taking videos or pictures via the pro mode works fine.

Personally i didnt faced these issues and for me on v3 as well its fine

no worries, the issue was due to restored 'data' via twrp (from android 11) - clean install worked however.

Hello, thanks for your rom. I am wondering, is it possible to change the CSC to anything I want? (Looking to change to xac). I did it on my s9+ international Exynos, but that was because the developer allowed "leave CSC unchanged" during install.

The reason is because I would like to be more compatible with more LTE bands on my device. But I could be wrong about this (ex: all custom ROMs have all bands enabled, your CSC features list means all bands enabled,etc).

from what I understand I see some posts around where people extract the CSC from stock firmware and insert it into the custom firmware. Just wondering if you would know if that would work on your rom?

a bootloop is a cycle, it's like going from being switched on to failing to boot and back again. if you hold volume up and down and plug the cable in (with the other end already in your PC) as soon as the screen goes black again, it's the same as booting into download mode when not bootlooping.
you can't flash an update with anything but Odin and doing so will send you back to square one, with no twrp.

if you still need to download firmware look up Frija or Samfw here on xda and read any notes that come with them.

• if you're rooted backup your apps messages etc and move anything you want to keep out of internal storage.
• flash the stock rom for June.
• boot the phone and set it up (you can skip adding accounts)
• flash twrp again... setup the phone after flashing vbmeta and resetting. use 1 of the last 2 twrp versions only, 3.6.0 or 3.6.2
• flash multidisabler and setup your phone again after the formatting of the data partition.
• then flash ProjectX v2

How do I install vbmeta? I'm a layman on the subject
