Hello all. I was hoping to get some clarification on something. I'm reading over these pages and I'm not totally clear on something. I have the S20 FE 5G. Its already rooted with TWRP. I still have OneUI 3.0, Android v11, Baseband G781USQS1CUAB.

What steps do I need to do first to be able to install this ROM? I see some mention of installing something else first via Odin but do I need to worry about losing TWRP? Or root access?
each release of ProjectXRom is based on the corresponding monthly update from Samsung. it's best if you've updated to that same monthly update or at a minimum not being too far from it.

in short you'd need to update to the last version of OneUI 4.0/1 to be able to use the last version of ProjectX.

if you updated to OneUI 5.0 you'd have to wait until those versions were finished.

So on past phones, I'd normally just pop into TWRP, wipe the phone and install the new ROM. Why would I need to worry about updating to the latest anything if I'm just going to wipe everything and install a new ROM from TWRP?

it's not a custom rom on a device that's EoL, things can and do change under the hood. not being on updated firmware would be like flashing with Odin but choosing each slot randomly out files from the last year.

I have the same question like you: Can I install ProjectX with the A13 update I have since a few days? What do I need - above mentioned CSC and vbmeta? Anyone out there did it already?

I do not recommend you to install Android 13
you have to go back to android 12 latest version
I personally tried - but the fingerprint sensor no longer works
I don't know why but it doesn't "kiss"

fingerprint is working fine... please don't tell people it doesn't work because you are having an issue.

I am on Android 13 (GWA3) and flashed the latest beta of this ROM on my G7810.

I dont have any issues with my fingerprint reader. Perhaps you need to take off your tempered glass.
Yes man . it works on the beta .... but not on the latest stable one
by the way, what do you think of the "beta".....does it have problems or is it quite stable?

If you are using the Android 12 version of this ROM, then you should be on Android 12 firmware before flashing. If you will use the beta (A13), then you should use the latest A13 stock firmware.

If you use Android 13 stock firmware and flash the Android 12 version of this ROM, then you might encounter problems.

As for the beta. It's perfectly stable for daily use. It just lacks the advanced reboot menu of the A12 ROM, but other than that I have no issues.

Great ROM, successfully installed it on my S20 FE 5G without issues. Magisk Application was not installed, so I just flashed the latest version via TWRP. It also saves me the hassle of manually patching boot.img. I didn't install the custom kernel and opted for the stock kernel for improved stability.
