Promo SD Card/Charger Ship Date changed to "6 to 8 Weeks"

I placed my order for the promotional charger/SD card on 9/5, the day I received my new Note 8 from Verizon. Order status showed "Shipping the week of 9/25." A week or so later, that updated to "Shipping the week of 10/2."

Sometime within the last few days, though (I haven't been checking every day), the status changed to "Shipping in 6 to 8 weeks." Is this true for everyone that ordered a carrier-branded phone?

It's a bit disappointing; I would have figured that being close to the head of the line on the promotion order would've given me a fairly predictable delivery date.

I read that another person who also got that package saw similar lead out times for shipping.

He called/contacted a Sammy rep and they stated the warehouse were out of SD cards, hence the reason for the delay.

They've apparently only been giving away 256GB cards so far ... and the promotion was for a 128GB card. Perhaps this is a sign that they'll be fulfilling all of the promotional orders with 256GB cards?

Maybe they have more orders than expected and run out and as far as I remember most promotions from past always stated allow 6-8 weeks for delivery and end up being 3-4. I didn't even check status of mine and I'm kind of jealous of lucky few who got 256GB instead, but it is after all free giveaway and I think not available outside US.

When I submitted my request for the promotion, I was approved within a few seconds and the status on the order, as shown in the Shop Samsung app, indicated the week of 9/25 for shipping.

Now it says 4-6 weeks ... so which was the "original?"

I'm pretty sure the "original" I got directly from Samsung is more "original" than the one you got from Verizon ...

Maybe a shortage on the memory card.

One of you should simply call in and ask samsung why the added delay. As I mentioned , someone stated they died just that and was told it was a back order on the Sd card.

Yep, mines said ships oct 8th now its 6-8weeks.
The other promos said the same 6-8wks also, but ship in 2.
I wish it was for them upgrading the card to 256gb. But we will see.

Ordered mine August 29th got my unlocked note 8 and the wireless charger on 12th but no SD card. Originally it said my phone wouldn’t ship till the week of the 25th , can’t find a ship date on my sdcard . Would be nice if it was a 256GB ?

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on the 29th. Got both phone and wireless charger on the 12th. Ship date showed the 25th. Memory card still shows as preorder on Samsungs order screen. I'll get it when I get it. Just happy I got the phone.

Where do you see "my offers" on the Samsung Canada web page? I see the Note 8 offer and it says that it has expired. It does not show any status update?

I hope it's not 6-8 weeks. That's ridiculous. Rogers forum people are saying average 1-2 weeks. So not sure.

Mine still shows "Preorder". I e-mailed Samsung yesterday morning, haven't heard back yet.
