Anyone have any suggestions for protecting the chrome on the back of the phone? I don't feel a screen protector is necessary given the gorilla glass and polycarbonate, but the chrome is picking up quite a few scratches in the 1.5 months I've had this phone.

Should I just get a screen protector and only apply the chrome portion? A little pricey...

8 bucks for a gadgetshieldz protector isn't that bad as a deal. I'm pretty sure you'll be using the screen part too, it's very good and gives you that "peace of mind" feeling. Even gorilla glass can be scratched, and also quite badly, even without particular efforts. Anyway if you really wanna go Rambo you may consider using some transparent tape and the original case, you'll be safe enough i guess.

I have tried car polish like turtle wax and to.be quite honest it has done the trick as the layer is just enough to help keep little scratches at bay and buff deep scratches out. Give it a whirl.

Varnish is a permanent solution biy cleaning it off is a bit tricky. Polish comes off over time and doesn't leave your device scarred.
