microsoft server is down, might not able to sync microsoft account and using market place for a while...
I get 8000ffff every time on my HTC 8XT no matter what I try. Any suggestions?

I got a Lumia 720 and I was trying to install games with 1 GB requirement.
Finally, after a lot of trying the various tips provided in the thread i got it to work..
Before that i was getting the 8000ffff all the time.When i tried to install XAP from SD with the proxy-trick it was 80390000...
Synced my Microsoft-Account -> changed region to US and was finally able to install "Gun Bros" via download.
Then I tried installing "Extraction"-XAP via the SD-Card feature of the Store but got error 8000ffff again - switched region back to my original homeregion and the installation worked without problems.
Now there is only one problem left for me :
I still got "Hills of glory 3D" and "Guns 4 hire" that I just cannot get to install with any method. Doesn´t matter if I download them or try to install via the XAP files, I always have the problem that the installation aborts at maybe 80% and then it says attention required and tells me that if the problem persists I should redownload the App and try again, but there´s no luck with that.( Tried to change region - not working either then )
Am I just too stupid or is there a possibility that I picked out two of the apps that will not work on my phone no matter what ?

Cancel the install, turn off proxy, sync your live account, and retry. When you clicked on an app and see the install button, tap it quickly or you'll have 2/3 chance get 8000ffff error message.
Only wp7 games that require 1GB ram on WP8 could be installed. WP8 game require 1GB ram can't be installed.
I see... Thanks for clearing the mist on this mystery for me.
So there is virtually no chance for me to install "Hills of glory 3D" unless M$ decides to throw out a version for 512MB devices... that sucks :crying:.
Really thinking ´bout ditching the 720 in favor for 920/925, but I really love the batterypower of 720....
By the way: Is there any kind of list where I can get verification which games / apps won´t be installable on my device due to the fact that they are for native WP8 and not WP7 ?

I'm using a Samsung Ativ S. It's too difficult to download with the proxy.
Instead, download the XAP file from windowsphone.com and install it from the SD card.
Just keep on tapping install until you don't get an error message.
By the way... My Yahoo mail got hacked the same day I used the proxy.
I recommend clearing your temp files and cookies just in case.

I have a Nokia 822.
I did the proxy, tried rebooting, syncing, etc etc and nothing happened so I gave up and turned off the proxy.
I chatted with my gf for an hour or so, hit up the app store and suddenly these showed up under Nokia Collection:

Nokia pro cam on Samsung Ativ S
I've nokia pro cam in my Ativ S but the app opend and close immediately when te camera strat (i can see the tutorial)?

can somebody tell me why the trick to bypass the 1gb requirement for install is not working with native wp8 apps ( installing to about 80% -then failing without error - phone just says try again) ?
Nokia Pro Cam is working fine on HTC 8S.

Why?? Probabily because HTC have htc camera (coming soon) and htc's firmware have a particular driver or other??
Can someone else with Ativ S confirm that the app is not working?
Maybe it`s the device itself, maybe it`s the firmware.
I have 3030.00.32901.411 firmware.
