PSA Android 11 update bricks devices. [Not anymore, now just full of bugs]

In typical Xiaomi fashion we get the absolute worst experience any phone manufacturer out there provides.
DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PHONE TO A11.

How can we prevent phone to be updated? It says update is on pause and it will go on when it won't be on use.

If you dont click on update, your phone wont be updated. AFAIR there is no way to fix bricked devices as of now, people are reporting not even being able to boot in to fastboot (which is VERY troubling).

Update is now pulled. Marks the first time this happened with Android 11.

It seems like this a hard brick situation. I dont think there is a way for user to recover their device, if you updated your device you are looking at sending it in for repair and in the process losing all your data.

This is the worst experience I encountered for an update. I guess the dev handling the rollout is in a hurry... No verification. It's a major disaster. Xiaomi should be liable for this disaster.

You can simply go to settings and look for the system update app and clear its data.

Mine too , phone is now worthless,it will not charge or open. I had to look for a spare smartphone on new year's eve.Thank you xiaomi.

Found an app "Dynamic System Updates" but clearing data and cache did not solve the pending update.

Anyone any suggestions how to revert pending update?

Disabling Automatic System Update in developer option may help
