How long is it taking to get the replacement phones? I bought mine the 2nd day it was out and my coworker bought his a couple months ago. His reception blows mine out of the water. At my house his was steady 3 bars of 4g same with my wife's iPhone. I once in a great while get a bar of 4g but mostly 3g. Also have you guys been flashing back to the stock 4.3 and 4.4 files before calling Verizon and/or turning your phones in and do you think it's best to go into a corporate store or just do it over the phone? Thanks!

I want to know this too. My only question is I paid full retail for my phone so that I wouldn't lose unlimited data will they still give me a replacement?

If its under warranty usually they will next day the phone. Definitely return to stock before sending in. I usually just do it over the phone.

So last time I posted that I said that I would flash over to NC2 leave jelly bean 4.3. I was on the original MI9 firmware and I had reception issues @ work. I flashed NC2 4.4.2 over the weekend and I went back to work to find out that the reception issue remains. I don't want to go back to MJE 4.3 just yet, I'm going to continue testing for about a month and we'll see if I go back to MJE jelly bean 4.3 :D

Try flashing the nc4 modem. That helped my reception a bunch..

If my reception issues continue for rest of the week, then I might consider doing that. Cause once I go over to NC4 then there's no going back to MJE 4.3. Thank you kindly for your fast and prompt reply. I'm out of thanks for today but rest assured thanks will be coming tomorrow :D

Ur welcome. Just so u no u can flash just the nc4 modem without affecting bootloader. U can also flash mje modem. Nc2 is the worst modem for almost everone. The modems are here. It won't lock u on nc4 as it is only a modem. No firmware/boatloader.

You did not have to pay full retail to keep unlimited data, There are a couple ways around that.

As to getting a replacement, that should not be a problem. It does not change your plan. I just got a replacement this week and all is good on the unlimited data front. However be prepared for them to try to blame the problem on something you did to the phone. Ie dropping it or getting it wet. So just say you babied it and don't fall for their traps. Asurion is even worse with that

Yes u can use towleroot then safestrap. And you can flash beans kk post or any other kk rom for vzw. Most will require u odin the nc2 kernel for it to boot. U can't go back to nc2 or mje bootloader.

I got the phone today...

says Android Version 4.4.2
Basebrand N900VVRUCNC4
Build Number KOT49H.N900VVRUCNC4

I take it I was given 4.4

So with that being said let me know if I have the right process since I will do this tonight from your post

Return my old MJE Jelly Beans to stock here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2528707

New Phone
1. Towelroot to Root (no Kingo?)
2. Install Safestrap
3. Follow old method with Safestrap to install Beans Kit Kat rom, then wait for Alliance.

Am I missing anything? since in your other post you write use Busybox then supersu then safestrap and then rom. Not understanding the NC2 Kernal part

The nc2 kernel is only if u flash one of the other custom roms that require it to boot. If ur staying on beans nc4 stock build u won't need it. U will need to install super su and busybox after rooting. SS requires busybox to install.

As of right now it's about the same as stock. As far as roms jasmine 1.8, eclipse, biggins are all great. Alliance is coming soon. I use titanium backup to backup all my apps.

Sorry for my dumb question, I guess I am confused by beans post below. Should I be using his NC2 build? Or since I have the below NC4 its a one way street and I cannot go to anything else. I guess my real question is What should I do with my new Note 3?

Nicely done :D
Really stupid question,

My Google Play store after installing NC4 and Alliance rom shows 4 email accounts. Seems to have installed apps for other email accounts I do not want listed in Google Play. Is there a way to disassociate them from the play store.

The reason I ask is after installing Alliance ROM Busybox does not show its installed anymore. Is there a benefit of reinstalling it?

I as well use multiple google accounts on my cell phone. I do not think there is a way to disassociate one of the account that you do not like using. You can choose the account you don't like and choose the option to disable sync. I found this article, hopefully it will help:

Best of luck and hopefully you can find a solution to your answer :D
