No don't do that sxtpdev one.New to the android platform... was...WAS...an apple fanboy. Deodex? So don't do the sxtpdevelopers version?
LG G2 is a completely different phone. This is a 4.4 TouchWiz build.I did the leaked kitkat and I'm disappointed. Where's the theme options like on my sisters LG g2 that got the official update from verizon? If this is what I'm stuck with on my note, I need to root it asap

That first bullet point... when it is said "go back to 4.3..." does it matter what build? I ask because I'm currently on MI9, rooted. I used the original RDLV technique, so I want to know if things go south, whether or not I can flash back to MI9 and root the same way I did before using the same cooked ODIN file that I know works perfectly. Or... if you have to flash back to MJE for some reason.PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Here is a brief (and yet startling) list of advantages to the leaked Kitkat build that could be done away with in ANY future OTA for the Note 3:
- At anytime you can use ODIN to go back to 4.3 for root, disaster recovery etc.
- This leaked Kitkat build allows for *ANY* compatible kernel module to be used. Unlike any previous Note 3 build ever. No whitelist security is in place to block kernel modules which are not "approved". (pointed out by @ryanbg)
- It's Kitkat but SElinux permissive. Also very very rare.
You will only be able to odin back to mje after doing this update. That first bullet point... when it is said "go back to 4.3..." does it matter what build? I ask because I'm currently on MI9, rooted. In previous releases (MJ7, MJE, and other from other carriers)... there was roll-back prevention written into the updates, so you couldn't downgrade. So... I'm wondering if the previous rollback protection would keep some users from going back to previous builds that they wouldn't have been able to get to previously. In my case... I've never updated the FW on the phone, so I want to keep my options as open as possible. So, if I have to flash back to MJE from the NC2 leak... will I not be able to go back to MI9? Therefore, I'll have to take my chances with one of the "other" root methods like kingo or vroot?
This relates to my question of whether or not I have to be on MJE in order to flash the leak, or Beans's pre-rooted ROM... but I asked that in the thread for that ROM, so I don't want to be guilty of multi-posting.

I'm almost positive you should be okay flashing the 4.4.2 rom while on MI9. Because your going to odin the firmware and your wiping the stock slot before flashing also. I also deleted all my rom slots. Since mje builds aren't compatible with the new Safestrap built for 4.4.2
If you wait and take the official 4.4.2 there may not be a root method AND you will probably not be able to roll back like you can with the current 4.4.2 leak (for distaster recovery etc).If we wait and take the official 4.4.2 from vzw will there be a new root method?

@Hashcode and @ryanbg any more news on kexec? If you wait and take the official 4.4.2 there may not be a root method AND you will probably not be able to roll back like you can with the current 4.4.2 leak (for distaster recovery etc).
This why I'm encouraging as many users to get on this leak as I can.
