Rolling Back after taken leaked 4.4.2

Hello I've been rooting and Flashing ROMS since my Droid X, Thunderbolt, and S3,S4 and I jumped to the note 3. Was wondering if there is direction on how to roll back to 4.3 if I really wanted to, I have flashed leaked kitkat, and BajaROM but for some reason I do miss the options I had with using 4.3 and the amount of roms available. :D:D:D:D:D:D

To roll back from nc2 kk, you odin jb stock then reroot using kingo or vroot...whichever you prefer to use.

I am currently on stock rom JB and rooted. But have been debating going back to no Root. What happens if I take the OTA, will it brick my phone?
Do I need to unroot via Odin first? Or can I just take the OTA and everything be OK with me not rooted and on KK?

I had issues trying to take OTA while rooted just fails no brick. Had to use Odin to go back to stock but VZW repair assitant worked as well. Was then able to take OTA to update. Keep in mind that this was to go to 4.3

Can I roll back from NC2 to MJE using odin stock firmware? Can you please give me the right firmware to use. Will I loose the root when I do this. Is there a way to roll back without loosing root?

Is there a site or video with directions to do the rollback I do not want to make any mistakes? I have odin and the firmware I used to originally get to MJE now I need directions to rollback.

Well I guess I'm first to admit I'm one of the unlucky ones that updated my phone to OTA today, and I did not retain root, so I guess I'm stuck now unless anyone knows any way to flash this back to stock or some other method. I'm going to hate this device without root.

There's nothing special really. Save what you want to your external sd. Then flash mje with odin, and you've rolled back. The mje odin file contains everything you need, unlike the two file method to get to kk. Then reroot with your preferred method (vroot/kingo). I know there's oodles of vid-tuts on using odin. And a few in both the dev and general sections of the vzw n3 forums. If you need to recap your steps to ensure you don't make a mistake (never anything wrong with that ;) ), that will be a good place to look!

activated OTA by mistake- interrupted- now what?

"Kitkat leak for the Verizon Note 3...There are so many unique things about this build, that every user who installs it should treat it like gold and avoid OTAs like the plague."

I've been following the threads taking the above advice and preparing to move from JB to the KK NC2. I have Safestrap 3.65 installed, Odin running, KitKat NC2 standing by on the PC and the Beans' Deodexed ROM on phone external flash. The SM-N900V is rooted via Chainfire SuperSU. I own the device and have no maintenance from VZW. No need to remain stock.

I've postponed the VZW OTA about 6 times. This morning somehow the OTA offer popped up under my finger while it was already moving to the touchscreen and by sheer bad luck I activated the OTA which led to a surprising immediate reboot. Now the bootloader is by default in a download mode. "RECOVERY BOOTING" and then "installing system update." I immediately removed the battery. Then I tried rebooting into safestrap using volume-down + center button + pwr and I get the safestrap download in progress screen which says: "Downloading do not turn off target."

Curious what options I have to retain 4.3 so I can proceed with the upgrade to KitKat NC2.
1) let the OTA continue and hope that it fails and reverts to 4.3 as someone reported on Android Central
2) commence the Odin flash of the BeansTown ROM and proceed to attempt the switch to NC2?
3) some other way to interrupt the bootloader and reboot existing OS such as calling VZW to cancel my OTA?

Thanks in advance for any advice. I don't know how safestrap interacts with the bootloader or when the irrevocable events occur.

Have you tried just a regular boot to see what happens? If I recall using the button recovery will always take you to the download mode screen, and twrp comes up after the initial load. If you see twrp I'd say re flash and start over. If you don't get it and it continues to try to update I would say standby for someone who knows more. Best of luck

Edit: nevermind, didn't read your "download by default" part. Still best of luck...

If you are rooted and safe strapped, the update will fail.

I finally got my note 3 a few days ago, this morning I did the "Vroot" (I didn't get chance to verify root access, as I needed to entertain my son for a few minutes with a game. After 2 minutes he gave it back "it's not working daddy", he had accepted an update. I just checked no root access.

:crying:So my question is am I screwed now?:crying:
