PSA: Recent Note 8 Update Does Not Support Rotation Apps

I'm using a licensed version of Ultimate Rotation Control.
The (stock) camera app does some weird stretching and only works in portrait mode (and UI elements scattered all over the screen). Even then, there's some weird stretching going on with the photo.

Cleared cache, rebooted, same issue.

The app works for some things, but not others. Thing is, I forgot it was installed and went, "Hmm what is affecting rotation?"

Force stopped the app, everything else instantly working properly (then uninstalled). There's your problem if you're experiencing this.
Hopeful that the app devs will fix this issue, since it's much needed on homescreen and other apps that force portrait only.

Update from the developer:
Problem can be fixed.

"Hi Unfortunately, I can only force an apps rotation, not its layout. You can use the per-app settings to exclude application which malfunction.

Since I am visually impaired, didn't know this was a feature (just set it and forget it to Forced Auto).

Just a note that it won't work with everything, and to set exclusion lists for apps that don't.
