Is there a way to know the anti rollback version just from a kdz without flashing it?
How did you install 10N stock? OTA update?I received mine with stock 10H. Then installed stock 10N, and then Xtreme 2.0
Dealing with LG and TMO over the phone today about unlocking and so I switched back
to stock rooted 10N and I still have Anti-rollback Version Non-fusing device.
Okay, so the bootstack/radio was never updated then. Don't know if you need to per se. Keep running with what you have if you're not having any problems!I flashed from XDA G4-H811-10N-STOCK-ROOTED-ROM.
The LG Tech thinks unlocking your sim will give u better LTE?But I am having problems...low phone signal over 4G LTE (usually 1 or 2 bars), overheating, high battery usage (1.5 batteries per day), reported garbled/digitized conversations from people I talk to. Yesterday, 09/20/2015, I was talking to LG Tech and he said it looked like my signal down due to the phone being sim locked to T-Mobile. HE called T-Mobile to see if he could persuade them to unlock my phone and they told him to call LG! He said he was from LG!
Well, maybe you should consider flashing the updated bootstack. Having mismatched radios has caused problems before. But I am having problems...low phone signal over 4G LTE (usually 1 or 2 bars), overheating, high battery usage (1.5 batteries per day), reported garbled/digitized conversations from people I talk to. Can you re-create the problem(s) at a T-Mobile store? If the issues you are having occur routinely you could call T-Mobile customer service, demonstrate the problem(s) to the staff at the store, and request a warranty exchange. That's what I would do after all the testing and repairs you have done already.I don't think that's the problem. This G4 has had phone problems since day 1, with a T-Mobile SIM from the T-Mobile Corporate Store, T-Mobile APN, and full stock ROM, with all the bloatware. That's why I sent it to LG. They could not find any problems with the phone, but they never mention, in detail, what tests they have done. When I had the T-Mobile SIM, I called T-Mobile, and eventually got to Tier 3 level. Even though they offered some things to do from my end, nothing helped.
According to this page T-Mobile will replace your phone and return it to the manufacturer if it is defective and still under warranty (one year for the G4) for $20. It doesn't state that the phone has to be purchased form T-Mobile but you may have to produce a receipt if it wasn't . Of course you need to be a T-Mobile customer to take advantage of that option and have purchased the phone from an authorized dealer (Best Buy, Walmart, etc.). If either of those is not true I guess you are on your own at this point. Not purchased at T-Mobile store, plus, purchase occurred July 22,2015, which was 2 months ago.
According to the page I quoted earlier, under the warranty exchange program T-Mobile will order a replacement phone and you return the defective phone after the replacement is received, but the phone has to be purchased from T-Mobile or an authorized T-Mobile dealer which Swappa is not. I believe LG has the same policy about authorized dealers and original owner (non-transferrable warranty) so you are lucky that they didn't require a receipt to work on it and unlucky that they weren't able to fix your problem. All T-Mobile does is send the phone is for you with an extra day delay. I've sent my phone in to LG directly, 3 times, and the only thing they found defective was the Power IC was shorted and replaced under warranty. There is no question that my phone is under warranty. LG says they can't find anything wrong with it. But everyone I talk to says that my conversations become garbled or digitized within 20 minutes. T-Mobile doesn't give a s**t! Since I did not buy from them directly they could care, but have decided not to. I have a receipt from Swappa.com. LG would not have covered the shipping and the one repair they did at no charge to me if I wasn't covered under their one year warranty. HOWEVER, it is up to LG's discretion as to whether they will replace or repair the phone. I have no say in that decision.
