Lets not pretend PSFreedom is being used for anything other than piracy. The "homebrew" excuse does not wash. If you want to write homebrew games, go write them in flash so ALL PS3 owners can play them.
Console unlocking isn't all about piracy. The Nintendo wii is a great machine once you've got the homebrew channel on the go. The old Xbox is amazing as a cheap home media server once properly hacked. We're at the early stages of seeing how much of the same is going to be possible on our ps3s. And yeh, maybe these things also have the side effect of enabling piracy, but I can guarantee you that most developers don't have piracy at the forefront of their mind when working on psfreedom etc. Its mostly experimental and for the challenge. There will always be freetards, but I don't suppose there's a big volume of pirates on a site like this.

and 99.999999% of people with jailbroken consoles are not developers. So they are only interested in the piracy aspect of it.

like I said, if you want to write homebrew games, use flash...

Right. And this is a development community, full of devs. So leave the piracy talk elsewhere.

I guess we can just write you off as a moron anyway, since you keep repeating this line.

Nobody has done any homebrew (legal) that can't be done on flash....

PS. Emulators are illegal...
