It runs ultra smooth on the Oneplus 5T, but on the Mi5s sometimes it lags, I was thinking on flashing LOS to the Mi5S but seems that it doesn't matter it still lags its really annoying
Someone could try to use apktool to see if this game as different strategy/policies for different brand/model. It was the case when people change their model to OPPO brand, and some games were faster (Arena of Valor, which is also from tencent). I did have a look at 2 games, and there were different settings for different models, though I couldn't understand what those meant.

Some tips from miui forum:
1. Change your model to OPPO (maybe R11s or others), in build.prop or with xposed module. It was said to work in games from tencent
2. Flash an LOS/aosp rom
3. Remove the temperature control file: http://en.miui.com/thread-635457-1-1.html

Either of these was said to be working, but I never played big games like pubg
I have tried to delete thermal file via xplore but every time I delete or try to edit it returns back.... Please help my phone gets heated 45°c at time of charging.

Well, are these 2 questions?
1. I'm using magisk to replace this file.
2. The temperature while charge is around 40, I wonder if you mean playing games while charging or high temperature due to removing the file?

I found a post http://www.miui.com/thread-13648787-1-1.html, which basically says that uses the settings:

400~600mhz for gpu
1300mhz for big core
1500mhz for small core
Or just follow the pictures even you don't understand the language. The auther claimed to have 38C temperature with hdr & high resolution.

We needn't install custom rom for play smooth game...
Follow my tips u can run pubg with 60 fps in medium graphic.
-
-First install miui 9 or lasted miui (old im not sure it work- i'm using multirom)
-Root ur phone
-add this line in ur buildrop:
persist.sys.NV_FPSLIMIT=60
-open security --> game speed booster --> then choose heavy game or some game not smooth in ur phone. --> setting-->enable performance mode.
-then open chorme and search : "enable 60fps pubg 0.3.3"
They share customuser.ini and savegame file. U need install with their tips.
Done... Now ur phone can run high graphic or normal with 60fps and very smooth.

Your phone thermal throttles because its really hot and that is the only reason why you lag. Making your phone higher performance and making the game 60fps will just make your phone heat up and throttle even quicker. So it sucks for you but you won't be able to play the game smoothly ever.

Dude where's your logic... If your phone is getting heated to 45°C WITH the thermal throttling engaged, why the hell would you want to delete it? You'll disable thermal throttling and if you do your phone WILL overheat and you can very easily set the Li-Po on fire

I just bought Mate 9. and was amazed with huawei update and how fast kirin 960 was. and take note the SD 821 and kirin 960 released on the same quarter. i just hated SD because of its heating issues and affects performance. kirin was way better and my mate 9 supports high quality in PUBG!

RIP SD.

The thing is the battery doesn't overheat when the phone's overheating. You wouldn't set the battery on fire just from that but your socket, CPU and some components might get damaged. I always delete it as soon as I flash a new rom( I always sit in front of a fan when I'm gaming to cool down my phone ). My phone's CPU is always 80°C-90°C all the time now tell me why the battery hasn't exploded yet. The battery doesn't even feel like there's heat in it.

,if you guys wanna try Syberia ROM (pie) is running PUBG very well, no lags for me. On lineage 15.1 and 16 not so good, the last time I tried was laggy.

Antutu score is also lot better on Syberia ROM.
I read somewhere it was because it's using a new OpenGL driver but can't confirm that.

Have you ever tried using floppy kernel over syberia rom? Which do you think is the best? The stock one or floppy?
