Pure Calendar widget (published on SlideMe market !)

My new creation ;)

For people having trouble to buy this app on Google Market, or simply people who doesn't have access to pay market, I have published my applications on SlideMe market :
Mod Edit: Under Investigation Temporarily

To contact me by mail :

aHome + pure xx : working, but slightly streched ...
Home++ + pure xx : working perfectly
GDE + Pure grid calendar : incompatible
Sweeter Home + Pure xx : compatible

How to create skins & share them :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547759

-------------------------------

Pure calendar > Bugs report :
+ bullets miss aligned on Droid/Nexus on 3*x and 2*x

Pure grid > Bugs report :
- fresh ROM layouts problem

-------------------------------

Pure xxx > Next features :
+ parse localized day if available in the OS
+ disable service if no widget installed

Pure calendar > Next features :
++++ option : change widget title date/text
+++ Day MonthString DayString
+++ improve app opening (avoid widgetreceiver)

++ optimize Tattoo color bars
++ option : add Astrid-tags to widget
+ font size applied to day bar

Pure grid > Next features :
+++++ show event text in the bar
++++ day viewer swipe use
++++ "ask" app to open on tap
++++ 4x1 size
+++ option : 4x4 stick current day in first row
+++ add option for 0 minute events

+++ add small icons for 'event spanned' and 'event repeating'

++ improve timeline management overlapping
+ round edge of timelines
+ add arrows to switch month/weeks
+ option : use current date as first cell date
+ option : use current week as first row date

-------------------------------

Not developped ideas :
- option : add calendar application view choice (planning, day, week ...) >>> other view have permissions resctriction and cannot be opened from another application
- skin day bar >>> nobody ask for it, and a lot of code for this :(
- try to center current date >>> no, finally, I like it like this.
- add icons for special events (alarm / reccurent / multi-days) >>> too much thing on the screen is not a good idea.
- pure grid week view
- show next event on lock screen >>> too complicated. Need to dev a full new app as screenlock.
- configurable week start in year >>> only 1 demand

-------------------------------

How to send logcat :
- install 'log collector' from market
- reproduce the problem
- wait 30 seconds
- launch 'log collector' with my mail address (see above)

Looking forward to it. Still hoping to see an ultra-tiny widget in 2hx1v size to replace my Quick Calendar app/widget. Too many other shortcuts on my home screen to sacrifice them for a longer widget.

first beta 0.0.1 :

what works:
- show calendar :)

bugs or not coded :
- text cut at bottom
- no functionnal skin manager
- display all days, even without events
- doesn't manage very well 'complex' recurrent events (bi-weekly ... each 3 of each month)
- add button inactive
- buttons (refresh & configure) seems sometime inactive
- looooooot of options and layout missing (4x1 / 4x3 / 4x4) ;)

Enjoy, beta are free ;)

Something I noticed right way is that the days without any events on the calendar will still show the event from the previous day with an event.

looks really nice. I asked myself all the time, why none of the devs is making a calendar app, since everybody needs this, every other OS has it better than android (nokia, microsoft...), and many people would pay for this.

Instead we had tons of tip calculators (I never unterstood, what's the need for a tip calculator, at least I never needed one) or torch apps.

Quick calendar was the only usable app but was really ugly.

Thanks Koxx

Reason is very simple : Calendar API is not public !!!
I'am doing "reverse engenering" and search a lot a small informations on internet to manage to access calendar informations. That's also the reason why all kind of events are currently not fully managed : I have a find a new path for each kind of event (and reccurent events are very difficult to manage - 15h of work only for that).
