Gps but no compass heading?

Does anyone if the mtcd has a magnetometer on the gps chip.. ive got the xtrons px5 unit or where the gps is located on the board.. cus im not above hacking the hardware to add one lol

Exactly the same issue for me with PX5 and android 6.

Since upgrading to android 8, maps does not crash when starting to navigate.

Can you let me know which version of android you hard running?

I'm not sure if it's revolutionary or not but I was able to side load android auto too, it works for nav and music but not for calls which is understandable.

(Edit: now using headunit reloaded for full Android Auto experience inc. calls)

Normally youd simply set it to get the time from GPS, if this isnt working try updating the MCU.

How do I update the MCU?

Download your specific manufacturer mcu file to a sdcard or USB (root folder) and go to settings and look for a n option of mcu update

Hello, so i am having a bit of a problem with sygic. Whenever i start searching for a destination, the app crashes. I've added all the maps in the proper folder, everything is looking okay. I've downloaded the newest sygic and added the newest maps available, same thing. It crashes whenever i try to search for a destination.

So do you have any idea how i can solve the issue ?

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to update my radio for a few days, at first I tried to do 6.0 to 8.0 then 6.0 to 9.0, and now I'm just trying to update the mcu and firmware from hot audio for 6.0. None of it worked, it's like my radio refuses to take any update. Now it's saying my SD card is not the right format, and it tries to correct it but it fails. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll include pictures below for my radio information.

Hi, I am currently using px5 KLD one.
It's been almost 2years and nothing to majorly complain about this unit so far except the quality of sounds.
I am fully aware of having a proper head unit like sony, alpine or pioneer is the easiest way to solve the problem if I put sound quality on the center of interests but I guess I chose convenience over sound quality somehow.

these days, head units with DSP module are widely on the market and I heard some sellers sell motherboard and core board with DSP module on for PX5 KLD. I just can't figure out where to get it tho.

I spoke to the seller I originally bought the headunit from but he just kept ignoring my messages after said he had it or could get it if I wanted it.

Does anybody know how to get motherboard and core board with DSP module on?

I dont think any manufacturer or seller will provide a motherboard only, unless you are under warranty and demonstrated some malfunctioning

Developer Options:
Standard 7 tap on build no. does not work on these head unit. To enable Developer Option, install this one:

And it's not working, when you load the app it says, you have to enable developer options first.
Anyone know another way of enabling them.

I bought new device as replacement for my old t8 allwiner device.
It is px5 and i have problem with colors on screen. It is too dark and colors are not real. Red color is not red it is more like orange.
I think that contrast is to high. Can i adjust it?

Yesterday I installed a new Amp and Speakers and now theres a hissing/butzing sound when I turn on the car. When the Unit is turned off there is no buzzing, so I guess its the Xtrons Unit. Any fixes?

I think your HU is picking up noise, from power or source line. ground the unit well and try to put noise filters on the lines. Good luck.
