[Q] 2 inches of screen don't work

Hello,

The left 2 two inches of my screen don't function. That part is not reacting when touched. My question is whether this is a hardware or a software problem. The screen has been replaced about a year ago, and worked fine till now.

I'm rooted and flashed KatKiss 4.2.2 #19.

Try deleting the boot animation (/system/media/boot_animation.zip). I had a similar problem and that fixed it. Also try changing roms (correctly, wipe etc).
