No idea what happened. Wifi worked great last night, woke up this morning and stuck in turning on/error loop. Words of advice?

Did you root/or apply one of the custom BCmXXXX.to wireless firmware? Any time recently?

Try putting it in Airplane mode then back out.

Try a cold boot by holding power and Vol up.

Already did that, first things I've tried. I've flashed new boot.imgs and push the corresponding bcm files. I can't figure it out. I may have to relock the unlock... grr I hate not having cust recovery lol. Darn you google!

I'm having the same problem after unlocking the Xoom after the update for flash compatibility. I downloaded the bcmxxxx.ko file again and pushed it to my Xoom, rebooted, and still having wifi error.

i read a post where someone manually dropped the driver with file explore manually or the like rather than push it to get wifi back up. I poked around mine a bit but my cmd line linux is weak still. I found a wpa supply. File under system/etc/wifi and saw its attributes were read only. Creation date 2/8/11, using current tiamat kernel and drivers if that helps.

Same problem but fixed it.

I am not the Guru that the rest of you are, so I am not sure how much help I can be. I had this same problem when trying to root my non-3G Xoom, but I was able to fix it. Although I was able to fix it, I am not sure exactly what I did. I know I was trying to use the One Click Root method, and I think I accidentally flashed some 3G files on it which is what killed the WiFi.

I downloaded the xoomwifiroot and followed the Tiamat rooting process, but I also tried the OneClickRoot again. I wish I was paying more attention when I fixed it, but I was at work so I was doing other things at the same time. All I can say is you probably used one of the 3G files instead of the WiFi-Only files. Try the rooting process over and make sure you have the WiFi-Only files.

Having you tried resetting the router you're using and the modem. This usually solves 99% of my wifi problems. I have the 3g model also.

Yes. Plus I live in an apartment where I can usually see five to six connections. I see none.
