I just might be a drooling fat kid ! ! !

Thanks Oliver & team for this awesome ROM! 4.4.4!!! :cyclops:

I have a problem that I did not see mentioned anywhere:
After flashing I do not have G3/G2 data anymore & in order to get a voice signal after a reboot I have to go into; settings/Mobile netwo../Network operators/ and click "search networks" and click "choose automatically". After these clicks and a wait of about three minutes I get voice signal. However on the screen with the square icons where settings icon lives the signal strength icon always reports "no service." even when I have voice service. Nothing I do gets the data working.

I read through all 75 pages of this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735775. In it I found this little nugget, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52920794&postcount=383, about marvelc. I did not see anything about how to start my service plan up again.

I'm no Android genius, but I'm not quite a moron either :) I read and read and found a method to root prior to flashing your rom. Here is a quick overview of what I did:
HTC official unlock
Rooted via http://androidforums.com/wildfire-s-all-things-root/480954-guide-how-root-wildfire-s-s.html
Installed ClockworkMod recovery 6.0.5.3
Installed your latest 4.4.4
Installed CronMod-INT2EXT via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190269
Lastly flashed gapps-4.4 because it was the first one listed in your thread

Boot loader screen:
*** UNLOCKED ***
MARVELC EVT1 SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.09.0000
MICROP-0354
RADIO-0.94.00.824

The ROM seems to be awesome and mostly working for me. Can I get my Virgin Mobile data working with this ROM? I suspect, because of the marvelc comment, this rom for the Wildfire S is not actually for MY Wildfire S. (This might be helpful to add to the ROMs description, btw)

If I cannot use this ROM am I forever stuck on the outside like a broke, drooling, fat kid with his nose pressed up to the window of a candy shop? :(

yoholo,

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to tell me, sorry. If my post above made you think I can't install the rom, I did not intend that message. Because on my WFS 510c the rom installs just fine. I just don't have any data connection.

How do I fix my data connection on my marvelc, WFS 510c, model PG76200?

Data connection problems, as ı know about ROM install instruction.

You didnt dalvik wipe? I did read msg. you must dalvik wipe, later than gapps flash.

My english very bad, sorry :(

I will learn it, with your advice, thank you.

Well I am guessing that he most likely would need a logcat to start with. You can get this by connecting your wfs to you PC and runing:

adb logcat > logcat.txt

Or you can install CatLog and app from the play store to get the logcat.

Dear Olivier, first thank you for all your nice and great ROM,I have this problem too,and my GPRS lower then 4 to 6 KB which on my other phone is over 35 KB,and try most of script, but no luck?! would you please give a details of log cat and app which need on Google play to maybe can solve this.
Again good job .

Sent from my Wildfire S A510e using XDA Free mobile app

no question, no answer (sorry) but some piece of information

I have seen on my WildFire S that the automatic brightness adjustment is using "unusual" values (with CM11).
You may know, when using the automatic logic, you are able to define different
"Lux" levels to adjust the devices' brightness accordingly. (As far as I know this was not possible with Gingerbread.)
These are the "Lux" values the Wildfire S ist using:
1,3,5,19,26,69,219,309,498,1024
So only these values will be reported to the brightness control, and if you want to tweak
the automatic brightness control (if not already done), you should create the "level changes" at these values.
Looks good on my one.

Olivier: Nice work! (Superaffentittengeil!)

Hi Everybody,
managed to install CM 11.0-20140913.
really satisfied with the result.
Had to use the latest TWRP (2.8) as 2.7 couldn't flash that ROM.
Gapps are those in the developer thread link (Gapps-to-cache) as the Gapps light weren't working. Unfortunately Google play is outdated (current version is 4.9.13) so some memory is still taken.
everything works apart:
1. Dictionary, seems active but no suggestions or corrections available.
2. Screen while phoning, it goes black and one can't do, touch or see anything until some seconds after call ends. Also impossible to end phone call (might be an issue with proximity sensor?)
3. charging with phone switched off freezes the phone with charging light on, battery removal is needed.
any experience about similar issues will be appreciated.
thanks to Oliver for the great work, BTW.

Anyone faces the 'dark image' problem while using flash in camera and Touch focus not working?

Edit: Solved the dark image problem. But the touch focus thing persists
HTC Wildfire s
ROM: CM11 Nightly
Recovery: TWRP 2.8
