Enjoying the GN3 so far, but had a few questions about ways to tweak the settings I couldn't seem to find:

1. I gather that the Samsung keyboard is a variation of SwiftKey, which is what I had previously been using. With that said, it doesn't seem to offer the "next word" predictions like SwiftKey does, at least not with any consistency. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't, but I haven't been able to identify what it is that I do that causes it to happen. Is there a setting somewhere to turn it on or a way to access it that I'm missing?

2. Re the sidebar, is there a way to disable it temporarily? Also, is there any way to edit the apps that are included?

You can use any keyboard you prefer. Many users like the Samsung keyboard for Note 3/10.1 and others prefer SwiftKey or Google Keyboard. I have all of these installed as well as "Hacker's Keyboard" (Free on the Google Play Store) and I use switch between them as needed.

The Lumen Sidebar and My Magazine apps are tied to TouchWiz. Try using a different launcher such as Nova or Apex, or freeze the Lumen apk.

Thanks. I ended up just installing SwiftKey, although I still think it's odd that it sometimes behaved like SK. Oh well, was used to SK anyway.

Re the Sidebar, I was able to find an answer for anyone else having this problem. You can toggle the sidebar off and on by holding down the back button for a couple of seconds.
