I'm not sure if this deserves a thread of its own or not.
So, my sister lost her phone so I said I'd revive my old u20i and let her have it.
Its been a long time since I last used it, or made some modifications so I'm out of the loop.
It has nAaKernel 2.6, CWM, and CM7-Mini Pro, so I'm guessing I must have unlocked the bootloader when I last played with it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to install a new kernel and ROM. Is this true?
Its a bit buggy. It takes about 10 minutes to boot up. In fact, its quicker if I boot into CWM, and select "Reboot" from the menu in there. When I do that, it boots normally.
So, I'm hoping to fix this by just wiping everything before I give it to her to use.
Also, it is network locked to another network, so I'll have to unlock it somehow (When I put in another SIM, it just says "No service" instead of asking me for an unlock code). I've contact the provider and currently waiting for the unlock code, but in the meantime I will try do the rest. And if they dont' get back to me, I'm hoping someone can link me to a guide to network unlock!
I'm guessing everything on it has been replaced by newer versions by now, so where do I start? Update CWM? Kernel? Revert to stock? I need to troubleshoot why its taking so long to bootup so if its a software issue, then I'm hoping its fixable by reverting to stock.
By the way, S1tool doesnt detect the bootloader on the phone. It says "cannot find the file specified" and gives completely different output to the examples in other threads.
Like I said, I'm out of the loop, so can someone point me in the right direction on a place to start?
Thanks.
