Just wanted to know whether the menu button does anything whn it comes?


Q. Is there anyone who has removed his screen protector? Is the Corning gorilla glass so good? Is it a fingerprint magnet? Thinking about removing my screen protector, just wanted advice(sorry but I did make a thread in accessories )

uhm, it wont do anything.. i mean when i receive a SMS, there will be a popup like that.

about the screen, i removed my screen protector months ago, and my screen is still super smooth. i think its better than with a protector..

mostly all kernels are well compiled today, so theres no great difference between them. if a rom works best with a kernel the rom delevoper will recommend it in the rom thread..

Not i tried it Widgets not working, have to install moded Xperia Widgets by ra3al & there is not timescape there.

I just want to ask if I could install some stock apps to a custom rom. I have installed "xNXT™ 7" on my WT19i yesterday. The rom is nice but I want to use stock ICS (WT19i) conversations app with it. I pushed it to system/app using ROOT EXPLORER with correct permissions but after rebooting my messaging app was gone.
I tried posting my problem on rom's thread but I'm new here @ XDA and not allowed to post under development forum until post count reaches 10.

Is there any way ?

Edit:Removed it, at least there's no scratches. But the feel is still great

xperia 2011 mdpi devices also have screen protactor by default like xperia t and xperia z?

and our devices have gorilla glass too?

@ k taresh, it doesn't have screen protector on by default, but when I bought it, the guy put the screen protector then and there(well, actually I asked for it). And yes it has Corning gorilla glass

also in some kernels i experience over brightening of soft keys does that affect HW..

Yes oc and even uc beyond a limit will affect life of hw, mostly it causes overheating (upto 1.4ghz is stable for use) over that ur cpu will overheat and u may have a permanent brick.
Don't know about back lights but u can easily reduce it in hw config.sh

As long as i knw der is only lupus (linario)which work with gb and ics tried with jb but stuck on bootloop(i think that prob may be solved)

Nope, but you can make your own. Download the flashable zip of any of these firmwares (like the .69 firmware, prerooted), open the zip, delete the apks from /system/app and the files from /system/media you don't like or you want to replace and zip it again. Then flash it

i would say freeze or remove UpdateService.apk...

Superleggera v5 vs v4

Hi,

The Superleggera v4 is one of very good ICS ROM. I can play NFS Most Wanted smoothly. Anyhow during the final stage of the game it starts lagging as the race speed is highier.

After updating to Superleggera v5, the game play became worse even before. At the starting stage of the game itself lagging.

Please provide some useful update/tips for playing games smoothly with this OS.

ROM: Superleggera v5 Odexed
Kernel: CTCaer v2.51
Clock: 1.4GHz
Device : Xperia Ray

Probably Arcatarc or CTCaer can answer this easily...
