Can someone please show me a thread which I can read up aboutOC/UV, governor and I/O scheduler? I couldn't find it anywhere.

And can someone advise me on the recommended value to set for my OC/UV, governor and I/O scheduler for daily use and for gaming purposes because I understand i can't have good battery life and good gaming performance at once. I only can choose either one.

I want to play Final Fantasy and Blood and Glory without lag.

Anw I'm using Zelly Cream on Sirkay's X kernel 587-D.

in between step 8 and 9, it freezes. saying adb out of date or something like that.
so i tried to flashing .587 tft but showed error. "flashing aborted. device with usb debugging off"

the version to be flashed for cm10 is 20121011.
Also have you tried wiping cache or data of playstore?

No recommendations, just play around with governors and schedulers and fix the one u'r comfortable with

[Q] Xperia Mini ST15i Twitchy Compass

Hello Guys. Sorry for the noob question. Is there a way to reduce the twitchy-ness of Xperia Mini's Compass?

It generally shows the correct north for Google Maps and Smart Tools but is very twitchy.
For GPS Test, it shows random directions. D:

I have tried calibrating the compass using the service menu several time and staying away from any magnetic source but it didn't help.

Please help. Thank you!

if a flashable zip restores a particular file which already exists (hw_config.sh), will it overwrite it?

if yes if i take a backup of my curent hw_config and flash it when i flash a new rom instead of tweaking it for brightness everytime, will it work or will it cause some error?(ie whetther hw_config is different for different roms)

It will overwrite it, yes

setting shortcut in status bar

Hi, just trying to make this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908063 work on my gingerbread running devices. But unfortunately, it won't works. The status bar won't appear at all, so i must restart my device and reflash my original status bar.
I really don't have good XML skill, so i don't know whats wrong with my newly build status bar, but i followed the instructions carefully. Is this mod will not work in xperia 2011 framework ?
Can somebody make it or port it into our 2011 xperia devices ?

The AOSP contacts app doesn't have that option to show only contacts with phone number, this is very important to me...

No, there's no such mod yet... You need to do some framework modifications to get stock stuff working on CM.
Rizal Lovins ported timescape to CM... so try asking him for help.

Otherwise try installing 3rd party app... Like Contacts+

Notification LED lights up white

I have an xperia ray running the latest Gingerbread 2.3.4 (build .62). And I just noticed that my notification LED lights up white everytime I press any hardware keys (back, home, menu, volume up/down, and power). It will turn on and then turn off after each button press after about 5 seconds. And this is really a rare problem.

I tried flashing fresh official stock firmwares both latest Gingerbread (build .62) and latest ICS (.587) both used official kernel of each ROM. And it didn't solve the problem. I wonder if I can do some tweaking in system to turn the LED off except for notifications. Because I know it should not illuminate on every button press. And I dont want to install any app that turns off the LED because I tried and it gets killed in memory. So it works but not so effective.

So if an app can do it, there must be a tweak or fix, which I havent been able to find after all these weeks (googling, forums, etc). I'm worrying if this is a hardware issue, but it's impossible, because LED works fine. I hope it's a software issue.
