Battery drain with 12.1 snapshot and gapps

Hi!

Flashed cm-12.1-20150901-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO23F-serranoltexx and gapps-5.1-arm-2015-07-17-13-29 to my phone and it is working quite nice, just with one big problem:
With stock rom, phone was running 2 to 3 days without recharging, with CM12.1, it goes down to 12 to 18 hours.
In the battery overview, Google-Play services are shown as number 1 power consumption app (highly before 2nd app).
I also re-flashed the device and installed open_gapps-arm-5.1-pico-20151005, but this does not change anything

Any hints what I can do or which settings I have to change to come back to a normal battery live? As I'm not very experienced with this area, I used the settings out of the box.

I also have less battery life with lollipop than stock kitkat. I dont think you can make much things. Try greenify, amplify, servicely etc . About google play services battery consumption wait some days and see if the problem persists.

I had a look into the logfiles. IPv6 does not seem to be the problem cause, looks like kernel WLAN gets stuck somewhere.

I finally found out that the problem is related to Bluetooth. As soon as Bluetooth is turned on, the Wifi performance drops dramatically, wlan error traces appear, the connection times out and falls back to mobile network. Bluetooth itself does not seem to have problems. I have removed all bluetooth pairings and deleted data of bluetooth apps. No change.

BTW, is it planned to re-enable Ambient Display? I liked that a lot

Yes you can. Personally I prefer to clean flash to make sure no problems, but CM themselves say it is OK

Where i can find some infos (changelog) about snapshots? Because i think the new snapshot have only some security patches updated.

Good question, I also would like to know where to find the changelog. The OTA update downloads fine but fails to install/update (i'm using clockworkmod) and it wouldn't load the changelog, anyway I updated manually to cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO336-serranoltexx, I'm still having issues with the wifi, when the phone is left alone for a while and not being used the wifi doesn't seem to be working, there no messages and notifications (for whatsapp, wickr, etc...) when I start using the phone again all that stuff begins to appear... =(

I couldn't download changelog too but to install OTA without problems You need to temporary flash CM recovery, which You can download current version next to every snapshot release on CM site. After that You can flash CWM back. Unfortunately I can't test new version yet cause xposed makes bootloop on this build and I'd prefer working xposed over new build.

It turns out that my provider's app "MeinVodafone" uses UrbanAirship components to connect to iBeacons via Bluetooth LE. This mechanism was somehow caught in an endless loop, scanning bluetooth every second for LE devices. As a side effect, WLAN performance was degraded until it no longer worked.
So these idiots broke my network connectivity, kept me busy for a week finding the problem just because this stupid marketing crap has been implemented. I think I have to follow the kind request to give this app a rating :silly:

3 quick questions.
- After not using phone more than one hour when I receive first call proximity sensor is not working. When I hang up and call back there is no problem with proximity and every next received and dialed calls are fine. Only when phone is not used for a long while.
- I have specified ringtone for one of my contacts and sometimes it rings with specified ringtone but sometimes it rings with default ringtone. I can't see any rule when it is so and when otherwise.
- When I'm in roaming there is no sign near signal bar, only carrier name is changing on lockscreen and quicksettings. Any way to fix that??

I'm not completely sure but it seems some sensors stop working some times and need to be wake up. This issue concerns especially Proximity Sensor (button lights stay black though there is a notification and bln app shows hint: "disabled by proximity sensor") and also the Brightness sensor seems to have some problems. Don't know exactly if it's an driver related issue but afaik Proximity and Brightness Sensor are one single device.

problem with xposed installer

Hey guys! after updating the latest nightlies on s4 mini lte, I tried reinstalling the xposed installer which used to work fine before but it seems to put the device in a bootloop. anyfix? which xposed installer version for L do you use?
