There are problems with rooting KitKat...
Although you can flash the prerooted ROM if you want KitKat...

Tried all options.. unable to root xolo q1010i with kitkat update.
It is strange that there are very less post which are handled by senior members which involves q1010i..

Is it really like there nothing which can root xolo q1010i kitkat?

PS : Once you tap Green circle, you will get blue button down there. >> exit app, relaunch kingapp >> it will again throw blue box (with junk written) >> tap it (it will install kinguser) >> then follow steps in link!!!

Recovery for xolo q1010i not able to mount emmc/external memory

I rooted my xolo q1010i with kingroot. Flashed CTR recovery by Chirag and modified TWRP recovery with sp flashtool but both recoveries are unable to mount emmc, internal or external memory. So practically i can do nothing with the custom recovery. Also when i tried to flash initially with rom toolbox it showed that recovery partition not found. Can anybody help me in this matter. (presently i have CTR installed)

Every q1010i user is reporting error in mounting and unmounting internal or external memory. No solution still.

i got the solution

u need to just download drivers and install in our PC


androidxda.com/download-xolo-usb-drivers
NOW..
enable android USB DEBUGGING..

SWITCH off UR phone ........
(now use SP tools)
steps are same
1) Open SP FLASH TOOL.
2) Click on SCATTER-LOADING.
3) Select downloaded scatter file.
4) Click on recovery and select the downloaded recovery image.
5) Click on download button.
6) Connect your phone in switch off mode.
7) A GREEN CIRCLE will be displayed after 10-15 seconds.

if it does not work '' Disconnect USB pin frm mobile and reconnect it, it must work''
DURING the PROCESS ur DEVICE must be switched off

ROOT for xolo q1010i

u can use VROOT its one click root app like kingo root

kingo root dosnt support xolo q1010i MTK 6582 device

VROOT worked for me

If u have a custom recovery installed, then download the super su flashable zip and flash it through recovery.. Super su will get installed and you will get root...

I did everything as given in the instructions but when the phone reboots there's no root....
the new recovery works only for one time...when i open recovery for the secont time... t shows the factory recovery

Can't Root Xolo Q1010i KitKat using Kingroot

I installed Kingroot and Kinguser on my Xolo Q1010i. After tap on round green buttion, the Kingroot app shows that my device is successfully rooted. But when I enable 'root explorer' in ES file explorer, it shows 'Sorry, test failed. This feature can't be run on your device''. After that I checked root permission using Root checker android app, it also shows my device doesn't have root permission. Is there is anyway to acquire root permission without flashing firmware?

Can't mount sdcard

I have successfully completed till 7th step. I have started device in recovery mode. When I chose Zip SDCard then it is showing error as can't mount sdcard. I tried mounting emcc as well. But it failed. Please suggest to solve this issue. So that I can root device.

in latest updated version of KK you cant root easily.till KK Soo5 only you can root easily...i have done successfully in S002...flash kk stock rom and also install super user in recovery mode.then use king root.100% working
