If you have ROM related questions, post in the relevant ROM Q&A thread (if there is one) or directly in the ROM development thread. If you are not eligible of posting there, you may post here. Thank you!

I'm late lol... I wanted to start this kind of thread as soon as I got a device actually. But it's good that it's here already. Btw, check your inbox...

EDIT: Now that I'm the OP of this thread, I'll change the OP in the next days; it'll look similar to this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016555
If you follow that link, you'll see the List of Supporters box. I want to do the same here, so I need to gather all active suppporters in this thread including their field of knowledge, so everyone knows who to ask for a specific question. More infos to come with the new OP.

Hi,

I'm a new user of XDA, but I've already tested part of ROMs for my phone (model in title).
I have a little question about kernels: some ROMs have a kernel in other ZIP file. But after correct installation (by CWM Recovery) I have blurred screen. Now I'm using JellyBeanRevenge (or some like that ) and it's work fine, because Author gave good instructions; but in some of other kernels don't works. Why?

This question you have to ask in the rom developer thread in the correct subforum and not here.
No one of us can tell you that cause we have not this device to reproduce your issue and help you.

Cheers

Hey, I think there's an Indian thread in general that has something about that.

I have a questions about the used bands too.
Found this information about the two different phones:

International OPO vs Chinese OPO:
International:
Connectivity GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/8 (2100, 1900,1700,850,900)
LTE: Bands: 1/3/4/7/17/38/40 (2100, 1800, 2600) FDD

Chinese:
GSM:850,900,1800,1900 (Same)
WCDMA: 2100,1900,850,900 (Missing 1700)
TD LTE: 2600, 1900, 2350 (These are all almost totally useless in the west as TD)
LTE FDD: 2100, 1800 (3) ,2600 (7) (Missing many of those used in America)

Iam not sure about the WCDMA Bands.
Tried to search for the used bands in germany but couldnt find all information i wanted. anybody know what bands are used in germany/europe? i may want to import a OPO from china if its working.

Did some googling for you, and Mobile Vikings (and every other Belgian provider, it seems) uses 1800MHz Band 3, which the OnePlus One supports. The UMTS and GMS bands are all compatible as well.:good:

Has anyone actually received an invite from Oneplus yet? I mean i'd have imagined that it'd snowball, i'm not too sure if the invitees can then invite someone else in which case it would gather ground. But i've yet to see someone who actually has one.

its been known for a while the first invites will go out on the 6th. those will be the 250 contest winners. then theyll do some for the older members of the oneplus forums. and after another week or so, all those people will have invites to give out to whoever they please.

Not know to me m8, which is why i'm asking.

Can the invitees then invite people?

    Hi.

So I have gone through and done a bit of tidying up of some off topic that was starting to get messy.

As a reminder, let's all remember that while this is an English speaking forum, not everyone speaks English as a first language and it may be harder to understand and communicate at times. I certainly can't speak any German or Japanese, or many other languages. That being said, it is very important for anyone that is having a problem and needs help, to do their absolute best to explain their problem/question in the clearest, most precise way that they can. You are more likely to get the help that you need if you do, and it will cause less confusion and frustration both for the person seeking help, and the person volunteering their time and knowledge to help with the problem.

Alright, let's get back on track and be sure to stay civil and respectful to everyone. :good:

    even @GermainZ (Hi buddy!)

Yes i am y r u moany at everyone that asks a simple question ive seen u do it in other responces we only need ur help not attitude next time think i wont bother asking

I'm "moaning" because I'm being kind enough to take time out of my day to try to help you, the least you could do is pay attention to the help you're being given. Asking the same question over and over and not actually absorbing the response only wastes both of our time. Provide links to other "moaning" responses of mine please and I'll give you perfectly rational and fair reasons for the tone of my post. I'm here to help you, and I'm putting in effort to do so, but it's only fair that you put in the effort too because you're the one benefiting from this.

An answer for all the people asking how to increase battery life !!
Frankly, I beg to differ. I have endured your video (yes, all of it) and must disapprove of it, especially in this thread. It is filled with controversial and dangerous changes that may jeopardize the integrity of the Android system and functionality in general. Some examples:
    • You speak badly of Greenify because it disables background application while earlier in the video you actually disabled background processes aggressively in developer settings. I'd like to remind you that Greenify has very clever algorithms to hibernate (not kill!) applications and has an excellent reputation in the Android ecosystem.
    • You're telling people to turn off ALL syncing processes without warning them of the implications. No syncing means no contact/calendar/notes backups and a pretty significant gap in user experience.
    • Saying that installing Xposed is easy, is true. But rendering an Android system useless with Xposed is easy as well. Please don't advertise this very powerful suite as 'another battery saving app'. Also, it's important to note that Xposed is not relevant to Nougat users for the time being.
