Just in case you're still in need, you are basically about half way to 5.1.1 once you properly have 5.02 running. The next steps are to install MultiSystem, and then after you get MultiSystem running, you use MultiSystem to load a virtual ROM containing JasmineROM 5.1.1.

The best pointers I can give you is to watch the Tutorial for installing MultiSystem on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsMZl2PfQFQ and install and get running MultiSystem. Use the tools as mentioned to confirm that MultiSystem is truly running a JasmineROM 5.02 as a virtual ROM to insure everything is working in the virtual environment before trying to run 5.1.1 as a virtual ROM.

Then, closely follow the instructions for installing, VIA A VIRTUAL ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61681131&postcount=11196

My mistake when I tried to get everything working was to forget to install the partial firmware updates as instructed in the JasminROM 5.02 instructions.

Hope this helps,
Bob
Bob,

I have 5.0.2 in stock slot, flashed partial firmware and have MS working. I created a virtual 5.0.2 img and am running from this img (not stock). I want to install 5.1.1 as virtual (per instructions). I'm going to make a TB Pro .zip back up plus a regular TB backup but my question is this, do I make the backup while running the 5.0.2 img or boot back to stock and then make the backup?

---------- Post added at 05:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:50 PM ----------

I have 5.0.2 running with partial firmware and MS 1.3.1. Everything works flawlessly! I created a virtual 5.0.2 .img and that is what I boot to and run as the daily driver. When I created the virtual .img, I must have hit it twice because I have 2 of the same .img files with different ending numbers (I see both when selecting Primary System IMG). How can I delete the .img I'm not using? It doesn't appear to be a way in MS so would I have to use ES Explorer?

I don't use TB much, but I've only used it to back up applications and their data. Since I only use it to backup apps/data, if you use it like me you can backup the apps in 5.02 and then update and restore the apps.

As for your extra images, you can delete any UNUSED images using ES file explorer in root mode.

I apparently didn't have "root" turned on in ES file explorer. Once I turned it on, I was able to delete the 2nd .img file, opened MultiSystem and updated configurations and now only have the one. :good:

A question for those who have installed the latest Jasmine Rom and use MS Exchange for corporate email. Were you able to use stock email app?

I need help please. I updated from 5.0 to 6.0 with no problem 2 days ago. Everything was fine until tonight when I installed multisystem. I installed busybox then multisystem then made a back up of my stock rom. After that I restarted my phone and now it wont boot. Im stuck at the Samsung boot. I cant get to recovery to factory reset but I can get into down load mode. I would rather not loose root but if need be I'll do it so I dont have a brick. I need to know what to use to Odin back to a working phone.

Have you tried booting without the sd card installed?

Now I have 6.1 installed as a virtual. I want to start adding xposed modules. .. does anybody know if there are some modules that need to be avoided?

Yes I tried everything. I gave up after trying everything I could think of. I flashed back to stock OF1 because I had things to do this weekend. I will replace the phone with a new one soon that has sd and root unless a miracle happens and we get root.

Is there any way to disable the streaming (I think) tts voice for maps/now? I would prefer to use the svox voice I purchased, but there seems to be no non-root way to get the Google apps to use the preferred tts engine.

Could you get Android Pay to work on this ROM?

I've been using Google Wallet for tap to pay with no issues but it just updated to Android Pay which doesn't seem to work with root. I've tried all the workarounds I've found including disabling root but it's still not working, would that be because I am using your ROM? Is there any way to get it working in this ROM?

Meant to post this in the Note 4 thread.

You were using Wallet Tap & Pay on a Note 3?

Setup Wizard crashes

I updated last night from an older JasmineROM to 6.1. The update was uneventful, however I froze some annoying software, and also stopped some from autostarting, and then I decided to do a factory reset and wipe data to start again. Unfortunately, this caused Setup Wizard to crash every time I boot, not allowing me to use the phone. I am still rooted, I simply cannot access the phone past the point where Setup asks me to sync contacts.

Since I can't access FlashFire and don't have SafeStrap installed, I'm not sure what to do. Can I push anything to the phone with adb or fastboot, or is there a file on the phone I can edit to fix the issue? Would it be possible to convert the JasmineROM .zip file to md5 and push it with Odin? Before I do anything drastic, I thought I'd ask you experts here. Thanks for any advice.

Hi, looking for some insight.
Today I have a opportunity to buy a safestrap Note 3 its running Alliance build 2...
Sadly safestrap, MS, Virtual, loop0 F2 F1 etc and all these other work arounds to keep the device free from Verizon's wrath is new to me.
I currently own multiple Bootloader unlocked note 2s on TWRP and or was excited about stepping up my game to the big dogs over here on Note 3.
My question is using safestrap and it currently using Alliance Build 2 will I have a problem just wiping and bouncing back and fourth to the newest Jasmine Rom6+ etc or are things not so easy?
Appreciate any info on this. Things seem very touchy over here with loosing our freedom. Just wondering what kinda troubles I'm about to get in.
Thank you

Once you step up to 5.0 or above you lose safestrap. Your new learning adventure will be with Multi SystemCare and FlashFire. Once you get comfortable with MS you'll be cool doing further updates and tweaks. Go for it!
currently running 6.1 as a virtual rom and have a number of Xposed tweaks. Bakery life is great and 4G signal is strong.

I am still having no luck at all finding a solution (yes, I have searched ;)) to this issue. Here's the rundown: I have jasminerom 5.0.2 in stock slot and was running from the virtual 5.0.2 IMG. I just performed the jaminerom 6.1 virtual IMG process and all is working great. Jasminerom 5.0.2 is "tucked away" and 6.1 is rockin' in MultiSystem.

The issue I find (and had this same while running 5.0.2 IMG) is that Titanium Backup Pro doesn't "see" any apps to back up. I've tried numerous suggestions (via Google searches) like clearing app data and cache, making sure the backup directory is pointing to the correct folder, and when all else failed, uninstalled then reinstalled. None of these worked. Anyone have any ideas as what to check? I'm almost tempted to go back and run the stock Jasmine ROM to see if it has anything to do with running the virtual ROM. I know that apps are supposed to run the same across the ROMs but I have no other ideas...

Did you click on "Click to edit filters" under the "Backup/Restore" tab?
