Before I get into it I'd like to thank Lanchon, and whomever else, for putting work in and figuring out how to get Galaxy S2 users back up to speed with trim, I installed the latest version of your kernel on my AT&T i777 and it feels like a brand new phone. I didn't do any benchmarks before the trim but it was dog slow to be sure, afterwards my benchmark numbers were in line with the after results in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54724225&postcount=1

There is one problem I was hoping you'd be able to help with. I'm currently using your kernel-Lanchon-TRIM-FPBug-20150113-cm-11-nightly-crossflash-i777 along with the cm-11-20150118-NIGHTLY-i9100 rom (reflashed your kernel after installing the rom) and I'm encountering heavy wakelocks and battery drain while idle from boot_hsic which I've come to understand is some interconnect between the processor and onboard modem and is controlled by the kernel. I've kept the i777 in airplane mode and want to use it as wifi only, I recently upgraded phones so there's no SIM card in it. I've tried disabling the Phone based APKs in the rom but that's of no help.

There is one method to get rid of the drain which requires shutting down and pulling the battery for a while but the bug seems to come back on reboot.

Any help would be appreciated

thanks for writing.

unfortunately i dont own the device. all i can say is:
-try flashing an up to date modem
-try contacting other users of crossflash and see if this is a general problem or a problem of your particular setup.

Flashing the up to date modem was the issue, thanks for the hunch. I guess in all of the formatting/cleaning up I wiped it out somehow. I reinstalled CM11 and your kernel then the I777UCMD8 modem and the wakelocks stopped.

Thanks again!

Hi Lanchon,
I'm wondering if you know if it's possible to have a kernel with TRIM and works with cm12 for the I777? I know there is the Gustavo kernel with trim, but that's only for I9100 I believe. Thanks!
cm is building for the i777 again! great news. yes i might do one, on vacation now.
please post ALL QUESTIONS ON THREADS on xda, dont PM!!

Coming from omnirom 4.4.4 with TWRP, safe or no? There's a newer thread by Lanchon... my eMMC chip is VYL00M Firmware revision 19 (which can have superbrick bug?) ugh... Typically.... I softbrick my phone a few days til I sort things out when upgrading from GB>ICS>JB>kitkat (kitkat softbricked me)

All this partitioning stuff has me a bit sketched, but I hate how kitkat disabled USB mass storage (without me knowing or I wouldn't have upgraded) any custom ways around this with new roms?
