Umm, you can already have a rooted LP experience as hsbadr has provided us Jasmine 5.0. Since there is no root method for anything after NC4 (4.4.2) and you cannot restore your device to a rootable state if you're on firmware greater than NC4. Therefore right now MultiSystem will be the only way. In fact we are fortunate that hsbadr is spending any time providing us the ability to be rooted on LP and giving us any utilities at all.
Thanks for all the replies. And yes, it pays to be cautious. I guess my remaining question is, when you boot form your SDcard... is this booting Lollipop from the multisystem while the phone itself is still on KK on the actual internal device storage?

No. I believe the requirement will be that all ROMs will need to have compatible firmware - i.e. you cannot run KK on LP kernel and vice versa and the firmware bootloaders have different behaviors regarding which kernel is allowed.

No, and you need to read the OP on this thread and the OP for Jasmine ROM. You must update your system to OB6 which is official Samsung LP.
There is a possibility that we will be able to run KK virtual roms through MultiSystem, but that is not confirmed yet.

Great deal, unfortunately I ordered the Samsung 64GB Pro micro sd from Amazon last night for $45, (listed for $100) same 90MB/s speed, right after I canceled my order at Best Buy

first of all TY for all of your hardwork that you have put into this device for us !
Anyways, will this allow me the same sort of "root" that allowed me to install titanium backup and get rid of all of the bloatware and stuff, or will I have to find a rom that is already debloated and install it thru multisystem?
Just wanna know cause I love feezing those apps that I know Im not gonna use for a while........ Thanks again.

Forgive me if this is already answered:

How can someone best prepare their Note 3 today so it will be ready for MultiSystem and 5.0.1 when they are released?

Back up the contents of your external SD card in preparation for wiping it into 2 separate partitions. I just picked up another SD card from Amazon and will be using that instead.

Im running JasmineRom v2.4.1 I am trying to partition my sdcard for MultiSystem. I am using Mini Tool Partition Wizard and I have the first partition as a Fat32(File System) Primary (type) and Active. The 2nd partition is 8gb NTFS(File System) Logical(type) None(Status). Is this correct? I feel that the 2nd Partition isn't setup correctly.

Hsbadr can confirm this, but I feel like the multisystem app itself will be in charge of partitioning/formatting the card for you.. Regardless I thought I read that the card will be in ext4 format not FAT or NTFS in order for read speed and reduced errors.. Not 100% sure though.. There will likely be more details once multisystem is released so just hold tight..
