I am having a heck of a time getting this going. I have read the Q&A, followed the steps from hsbadr, and even watched the video. I get to the point of making a back up img of my device. This is right after I get MultiSystem installed. I verify on the terminal it's installed. Sometimes I see the LED flash and backup. Other times it will not. I have completely started over on the process a couple of times as well. It was taking over an hour to backup my img the second time (first was not big enough in size). I then look and it's a few hundred kb after an hour. I set the time out of the display to 10 minutes as well. Is there any trick to getting this to go?

Edit #1
I entered the following into my adb shell.
su
mount -o remount,rw rootfs
mount -o remount,rw /system
Then I hit Create Virtual IMG and the green LED started going. The phone almost immediately rebooted. Almost came all the way up, rebooted again, and booted up. Now the MultiSystem folder is empty when I view it.
I had similar issues and am waiting for a possible 2nd video from the dev/rootjunky explaining how to add ROMs, etc.

a question

Is there a device compatibility list?
I know what multi ROM types there are for some of my devices. I just want to know if I have alternative choices.
I have Acer a500, nexus 7 2012 (2 of 'em), HTC One V (3 of 'em), lg ls660, nabi 2, s2 epic 4g touch, alcatel fierce one touch.

If I missed the info please excuse my ignorance and point me in the right direction.

Running Jasmine 5.0.2 (Although when running the MultiSystem Status it says my IMG is 5.0.1) Not sure if that causes an issue? I reflashed 5.0.2 yesterday and it yielded the same results.
Do you have to be running Jasmine to get this to work? I wasn't and am wondering if that's part of my problem...

I know you think you answered this, but, still clear as mud

Watched both videos, read the Q&A, and the posts and none of them explains how to install more than 1 virtual ROM. So how do you do that? Have FireFlash installed, however, just not jumping out at me on installing more ROMs. I want to have FireKat and Cyanogenmod as my virtuals with stock 4.4.4 on system partition.

Know the concept is, it is a simple tool to have multiple ROMS, but the simple part is not there, well at least for me... So do I just install CM 12 over the virtual ROM that loads? Then image it then set as secondary image?

I tried flashing a zip by mounting a virtual image but the only thing that happened is the red notification led turned on for a second and then went off. I checked the log file and nothing seems to have happened.

I think this is a fake app. Everyone has been asking the same question, how do you create a second rom different from stock. But the developer has never responded. Wonder why? Because it does nothing. Haha jokes on us.

I agree. This app literally does nothing. None of the buttons do anything, it refuses to install, and I have to do some crazy repartitioning just to use it? Is there just a way to install the apk and just press install without having to tear my phone apart? With safestrap you literally press one button and you're done. Has anyone managed to get it to work? I really want to use it but the process is way to complex for the average user.

Well well well. I thought it was just me. I have used every system under the sun and all I seem to be able to do with MultiSystem is create an elaborate system for making copies. I don't want to believe that this is a hoax but questions are not being answered.

I guess we will see what develops.

When I try to flash a rom.zip via flashfire, it doesn't flash at all.

I boot to stock and mount the virtual img and flash through multisystem and still not results.

Selecting a .zip to flash in the app itself doesn't work because I get the message File Selection: null

Still trying to figure this out myself.

Seems that it needs a little more work or more explaining.

Stuck at Samsung Galaxy Note 3 custom splash screen on reboot

Copied stock ROM to use as the virtual ROM and tried to follow the steps closely. The LED does light up green after reboot, but does not go anywhere after that. Any idea what is wrong? Would hate to loose root!!!

Pulled SD card and can now boot into phone, not sure what the issue was, anyone have any ideas?

I have tried flashing a rom via flashfire.

tried flashing a rom through multisystem app.

also tried opening the .img but couldn't do what was needed due to space limitations of the img.

I also tried created my own img with 4k block and count of 723517 which equals about 2.9 -- 3gb the img was also formated as ext4.

created a rom in the img and still no go.....

what am I missing @hsbadr ?

I can't seem to get anything working except for the stock copy i initially made.

Any guidance would be very much appreciated. I have high hopes for using this as my recovery.

I am on VZW Galaxy S4 SCH-I545 latest 5.0.1 firmware.

Thanks for your great application. Just need a little guidance in using it to its full capacity.

This is briefly covered in OP of this Q&A thread; I'll post a complete guide for flashing to virtual ROMs soon. For now, you can flash ZIP to a runinng virtual IMG via FlashFire by removing the system mounting line at the beginning of the updater-script (or, edit it to mount the IMG instead of the original system partition). Moreoever, you can copy any IMG in /MultiSystem/img/system/ with a new name; then, select the new IMG as secondary virtual system, which can be automatically mounted (enable the switch in MultiSystem app) on boot to /MultiSystem/mnt/system-virtual.

I have tried each method you have described in the op and no results.
I will just wait until more information is available.
