Anyone getting wifi issues? My wifi drops after about 30 seconds of the screen being locked and I have already checked all the settings. Wifi keep on, don't switch to mobile, keep on in doze settings. Anyone else having this issue?

I've recently installed smart launcher along with some of the plugins (notifications and screen lock). Then I realized that the fingerprint sensor couldn't turn off and lock the screen anymore (it can unlock). I uninstalled everything and tried to get that back to work again but I couldn't find the option to do so. Now I'm not sure whether I was imagining that feature or somehow after all that fiddling, my phone system got messed up?

Hi. I have used samsung galaxies so I am new to LG. Now I have v20 T-Mobile H918 with original 10d firmware and I am wanting to root my phone and flaws custom ROM. Now which would be best and easiest method to root my phone? Do I need to upgrade firmware to 10i or 10j prior to rooting it?

Hey there.

I've had the V20 since release and it's not even a year old yet, so. I'm not quite sure what I've been doing wrong.

Some people (I've seen on the forums) have been claiming to pull maybe 8 or 9 hours, hell more than 12 hours one cycle of battery on their V20's without root (though rarely) and I'm sitting here barely pulling 4...

I've noticed that my screen will occasionally burn in even if I'm only in a certain page or app for just a couple of minutes (mainly Facebook and YouTube).

The burn goes away, but now I'm getting a new problem where my phone will restart for no reason (this is new to me) and seemingly so when it's moderately warm.

Any suggestions?

P.S. I'm on Sprint running Nougat.

Does a rooted LGV20 H910 still have manual controls on the Video Camera?

I've got the LGV20 H910 from AT&T. One of the main reasons I went for this one was the camera. I LOVE all of the manual controls. Do these remain in tact on the new ROM after the Dirty Santa root? I understand that there is currently no way to return to stock ROM, so I want to be sure that I won't lose the manual controls on this badass video camera.

I haven't seen any mention of this one way or the other in the pages I've been reading over the last several months since I got the machine.

Related to this, how about the HD Audio recorder and Hi-Fi Quad DAC?

My guess is that because the new ROM was made for the V20, it should be fine. I just want to be sure before I take the plunge.

Anyone have issues after applying liquid spray for a screen protector? I just finished applying and now whenever I connect the phone LG V20 it still thinks its connected to usb. I restarted phone and it went into update firmware connection screen. I had to get into recovery and clear dalvik and cache and it rebooted and everything is working again. I transferred files from PC and again the same issue. Could it be liquid damage? Or is this something else? Thank you.

Hi. ..while waiting for the arrival of our Galaxy S8 pluses, I ported our 2 AT&T V20s (H910) to T-mobile. Although they have T mobile SIM cards, they still have AT&T firmware. Is it possible to flash the latest H918 (firmware from T Mobile). I had no problems doing this with ODIN Tars for the Note 7 (Verizon branded) going to AT&T, T mobile and Sprint firmware. Thanks!

Noob questions

Hi guys. I'd like to buy the H990 Ds version of this phone. Since there's no root at the moment, I'd like to know:
1) It has Nougat inside. Is It possible to block call and Sms? Also private numbers or without Id? Are there numbers that cannot be blocked? Is It possible to backup the registry of blocked numbers?
2)Is it possible to disable the secondary display?
3)This is a fashion question: Does the V20 fit on Cargo pants pocket?

Thanks.

Hello,

I have the Verizon V20, currently in the process of Dirty Santaing my device. I finished this part:

- Verizon(VS995) and ATT(H910):
4.1) Flash SuperSU.zip
4.2) Go back to Main-menu > Wipe > [Format Data] > Type ?Yes?
4.3) Go back to Wipe > Advanced > Check Dalvik, Data and Cache > Slide to wipe
4.4) Go back to Main-menu > Reboot > System

And it restart into the Verizon four dot screens. And I let it sit there literally all night while I slept. Woke up and nothing changed. I tried Vol - but nothing seemed to work or take it to any screen but the ones it were stuck at, which were the Corrupt! triangle - > restart into LG - > Verizon four dots.

I went into CMD, adb devices shows
List of devices attached
LGUS996ca792a6e device

and since I have used adb reboot-recovery to try and rewipe/reflash SuperSU. Still always brought back to Verizon four dots of sadness, sorrow, self doubt, and green leafy vegetables without ranch. Any suggestions?

Edit: sorry I forgot to mention that when I use the cmd abd reboot-bootloader it loads into a bootloader / fastboot screen on my phone but when I cmd fastboot flash boot boot2.img it outputs
error: cannot load 'boot2.img'

and my phone outputs fastboot: getvar:partition-type:boot

Update: I managed to boot everything up! I still think something is off though. I confirmed root through a few programs and it lets me fiddle around with everything but it still boots as device untrusted and buzzes as it boots up. Is this normal?

I know this may be for a niche set of people.

I have a Sony camera that does wifi transfers to android devices via a app called Playmemories Mobile.

It doesnt support my samsung tab S2, but it is able to do so for my Xperia Z5 on nougat.

Before I take the plunge on the V20, im just hoping that someone is able to confirm whether this works, or doesn't.

Thank you!!!!

Have auto updates made rooting AT&T 910 impossible?

I've noticed that even if I ignore the message asking me to update, the phone goes ahead and updates itself anyway. The "Last update" was 4/15/17 and before that was sometime in January. Is there a way to turn off auto updates?

From what I've been reading here, it seems that there may have been some security patches that make it so Dirty Santa won't work. Is that correct? Does this mean that, even if I correctly follow all the steps, I won't be able to root my AT&T LG V20 910 using Dirty Santa?

Am I buggered, or is there still hope?

I have the Tmobile version so can't be 100% about your ATT V20. But if you get into developer options, (in settings, about phone, software info, tap build number like 7-8 times, then it becomes available), there's a Automatic system update option. I toggled that off. I would recommend you do the same.

I have an LG G3 right now and I'm considering upgrading to a V20.

A big problem I have with my G3 is the camera quality in custom ROMs. If it's not a stock-based ROM, you take a massive hit in camera quality.

My question is: does the V20 have the same issue? Did LG lock down the camera in the V20 as well? I want to be able to use custom ROMs without losing high quality photos.

TIA

Yes so far thats what I've come across. If the custom ROM is not stock based, you lose the great camera. Same when I had my LG G4.

Dual sim network configuration.

I am using the LgV20 dual sim version in India. Now to save battery is it possible to switch the 2nd sim permanently to 2g and use LTE on Sim1?
