can you give me a link to a working 3t unbrick tool? i tried alot of them a none works...always getting the error "Firehose GetUfsInfo Failed" ... plz help
I used this and it worked fine: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/unbrick-unbrick-tutorial-oneplus-3t-t3515306
Just a few things to try:
Make sure the driver is installed and the phone shows up correctly in device manager
Make sure to follow the guide in the above link
Try using a different USB port and cable (If your PC has USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, try both)
Finally, if possible, try using a different PC.

I'm considering a battery replacement. My 3T will be exactly 2 years old this December, and I'd like to use it a bit longer if possible.

Will getting a new battery show any palpable difference, or am I better off getting the 6T?

I tried all and got the same error: "Firehose GetUfsInfo Failed" and got the yellow and red LED...

Does anyone knows whats that error is about?

These apps are not so much in need since Oreo.
If an app is using too much data, busy u reduce her data limits.

Battery life... my nemesis

Hi! Newbie here. I have a lot of problems with battery life with OOS 5.0.6. I just have flashed OOS 4.5.1 for my OnePlus3T because I read people said Nougat has better battery life, but my result is the same than Oreo, about 4-5 hours (not the expected 6-7 hours). Should I do something else? Any Kernel recomended for this version?

Thank you!

Who told u that u should expect 6-7 hours?
This is not the average SOT.
Only some people can get that, with specific use.

Pie ROMs don't support the encryption method used in OOS (except for dianlujitao's Los 16). So you have to decrypt the phone for the ROM to access the data partition.
And you will lose all data on your phone so backup all your files, pictures, etc, to an external device.

does deleting vendor/bin /termals files can harm our divice.....????
i want to do it to reduce pubg lags
Hard to say when hardware gets heat damaged definitely, the temperature restrictions are there for a reason, even the limits are usually much to conservative, I'd probably be much better to change to less conservative values to allow higher performance instead of switching off this security measure completely...

Just my 5 Cents, I however have no idea on how to do this - last time I played with thermal throttling values was on the OP2, there was a Magisk Module which did allow much higher temperature to the CPUs - good luck and take care!

Hi, using microG version of linage 16, and with magisk.
Got wireguard up and running but without kernel support, it fallback on user space.
What are my options here? Besides compiling the ROM myself?
Tried to switch to Franco kernel but then wireguard didn't work on cell network , only WiFi. Plus the Franco kernel app doesn't work without gcm, it just says it is pirated.
Also I would like something that stays over ota preferably.

What are the actual difference when using the user space fallback on wireguard, I know it is slower but how much?

Sultanaxda has wireguard support but then I have to get microG working without the help of xposed since its not available on pie.

Why are lineage so stubborn against adding wireguard? Found some old reddit treads that didn't fell like they made much sense in not implementing it .

Weird Touch Freeze on OP3T Oreo

Hi,
I bought a used oneplus 3t couple of months back and I have had weird touch screen issues. I am not sure if it has it's screen replaced or not. Initially I thought that it was because of the screen but the problem probably lies somewhere else and I hope that someone can help me figure it out and correct it. Anyway, here is the issue:

- The screen does not respond to initial couple of touches when woken up, but after a few tries it works fine.
- Scroll and touch gets mixed up. When I am scrolling through the menu or anything the device registers a touch and opens up where ever my finger is placed. Note that this happens when i am scrolling slowly and I still have my finger on the screen without lifting it up. I was able to correct (not completely) this issue by changing 'pointer speed' and 'touch & hold delay' settings. But the problem is still there. Note that I have tried other OP3T devices and haven't experienced this issue there.
- Now here is the main issue with touch. There are 2 scenarios:
Scenario 1: When the phone is placed on the table and I touch the home button, the screen turns on, all the buttons work fine but the screen does not respond to any touch (no matter how many times i try). Now, when I lift up the phone in my hand and move it a little and try again, after the first few failed touches it starts to respond and then it works fine. This happens every time i leave my phone idle for some time.
Scenario 2: I tried this again as in the first scenario but this time I had it plugged it to a charger. This time no freeze or touch issue occurred and the phone responded to the first touch (just like it is supposed to), regardless whether I pick it up or leave it on the table.

So, I concluded that the 'touch freeze' issue is related to movement of the phone (gyro/accelerometer) and it is also related to charging.

When being charged, almost no touch issue found.

I have searched this issue on the net and found that people had touch issue with previous OS versions but they got fixed with official android update. But my phone is already updated to Android 8.0 and I am unable to find anyone having the same issue as mentioned above.

Note that I have tried the above with and without the glass screen protector. The issue is still there in both cases.
I have made videos to show both scenarios but I am unable to post the links to them due to new user policy.

Looking forward to a fix to this issue.

I responded in the thread you started. Please don't post the same question to multiple places. One thread is enough, it will be seen and responded to. The only thing that "cross posting" (making multiple posts, asking the same thing) accomplishes, is to confuse you and those trying to help you. Often will lead to you (the person asking for help) bouncing between different threads, not posting identical information to all the threads, etc.

Hey guys, I want some help regarding unlocking and rooting my One Plus 3T. I'm on Android 9 and I don't see any latest thread made regarding unlocking and rooting Android 9.
Here's some things I need help with ---

1). Latest TWRP and Magisk which works best with OOS 9.0.2.

2). OOS 9.0.2 stock recovery.

3). Is it necessary to flash DM-verity disabler to boot or could I just flash Magisk and skip DM-verity disabler?

4). Few years ago on Android 5 and 6, after rooting, I used to delete system apps which I didn't need and also made some apps as system apps to let them work better.
Can I do that now and delete apps like 'Google Play Music' or 'Movies' which I don't want or is it not recommended to tamper with system?

5). If I want to relock bootloader, do I need to re-enable DM-verity again?
Will flashing stock recovery re-enable DM-verity?
If I'm on stock OS, do I have to flash whole OS zip or just stock recovery before relocking the bootloader?
If not, how to relock the bootloader if I'm rooted and dm-verity is enabled?

This is a lot to ask, but I'm new to rooting of OnePlus devices.
Your help will mean so much to me.
Thanx in advance.
