I don't know about hellsgod's plans, hells-Core great kernel, great thread and great Nexus 4, a combination of 3 things rarely to be seen...

Agreed its a shame Nexus had to be laid to rest. Hopefully OnePlus will now fill that gap nicely.

Would definitely be nice to Hells-Core Kernel. Hopefully it shall make an appearance :)

Hey,

So I've just moved from a Neuxs 5 to a OnePlus 3T, I've noticed the screen on the 3T is a little hazy with black text on white background, if I look directly at the text its ok, but the text not in my direct focus seems a little hazy (yeah I know it sounds like I need glasses but I'm fine!) I've left the screen protector it came with on as I don't like the glass ones as they leave a bump/lip where the fingerprint button is.

Is this normal for this screen type?

I can't see any hazy black letters on a white screen, it may be your vision which needs to accommodate from a nexus 5 type of screen to this one, they are quite different you know...

Remove protector that came with the device. It degrades display quality quite a bit and attracts smudges as hell.
I never use protectors on any of my devices and their display is fine.

Lol thanks for the mental images there guys, yeah I think I'll just remove it and see how it views. I guess coming from the Nexus as well it'll be different, plus I can't imagine the protector will be the best quality one anyway

unlock bootloader

Doea this device have the same unlock lock status as Nexus phones or when you relock you will have a relock status and not locked like HTC phones?

Does unlocking the device affect ota updates?

Are you guys sticking with OOS for the long haul on your OP3 Ts or will you be flashing a custom rom (and/or kernel) instead ?

I'm personally using the multirom without a hiccup and I tried all available roms, head over the multirom thread

Hi there ! I'll have mine in about 2 weeks... Just too late for Christmas :)
I'm coming from a Galaxy Note 4 and a long life with Samsung phones. Today when I flash a new ROM, I usually wipe all in TWRP, instead extSD. It will be my first phone without SD slot. Any advice in flashing without risk ?

Don't swipe for factory reset in TWRP. Go into advanced and just wipe data. It will wipe data without wiping data/media so you won't lose your stuff.

my brother has the oneplus 3 and the NFC reader isn't very good it has a hard time reading NFC tags, is that the case with the 3T? I came from using a z5 compact (my oneplus 3T is arriving on Jan 11) and never had problems with it but whenever I try to read a nfc tag with the oneplus 3 it takes a bit of searching by the camera hump, PS and if this is so that it is just as weak as the oneplus 3 is there a way to mod it to make it stronger (I saw a thing where a guy made his flashlight brighter forgot where)

No, to flash oxygen when on hydrogen or other custom ROM you MUST perform factory reset, what you've described is, dirty flash, absolutely NOT recommended when flashing different ROM based

The NFC chip doesn't use the camera, it's a module placed on the back of the battery, camera only scans the bar codes which isn't NFC
To have a fast response of the NFC you need a good NFC tag and also a proper touch with the phone, a phone case may obstruct it
