What am I doing wrong? Flash blu spark 9.91.img - flash OOS 9.0.3 - flash no verify - flash Magisk 18.1 - reboot system. It does not re-enter the black screen and after a few moments the blue notification light shines brightly. It helps holding the power button for 10 seconds (after 7 seconds the LED goes off) - the system turns on, but Magisk does not

Seems you're coming from Oreo rom and flashed pie recovery but that can only work when already on Pie firmware.
It should not happen if you follow this instruction here https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...xygenos-4-5-2-7-1-1-ota-t3627003/post72799040

Flash this recovery https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UlTftbe6wooAs4Fp0cjwXlOKmfQHgdfL/view?usp=drivesdk then remove the compatibility.zip from the 9.0.3 rom zip as mentioned in the flashing instructions above and follow them.

phone calls problem

Hi, I have a OnePlus 5 8gb ram and 2 weeks ago I updated to 9.0.3 Oxygen OS version.
since then I'm having problems with phone calls. many times the other side can't hear me or my voice is broken but I can hear them well.

I talked with my cell network operator and he couldn't solve the problem.
is anyone else facing this problem? any solutions?

BTW from reading some threads here i understand that the OnePlus 5 supports VOLte calls or WIFI calling. is that true? my network operator told me that it doesn't.

Many thanks

Check out this post and the following discussion https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...xygenos-4-5-2-7-1-1-ota-t3627003/post78680335 and make sure you're using no mods.

Your Operator won't tell you the truth. Op5 does support wifi calling and VOLTE, but your operator does not allow it with your device. But check this out https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/volte-vowifi-german-user-t3816516

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I checked the discussion but I don't think it the same problem, the other side can't hear me at all. anyway, I don't use any mods currently.

I think it got to do with the cellular network since I don't have this problem on Whatsapp calls.

Hello.
I have a problem with my op5.
I had the stock rom, twrp recovery and unlocked bootloader and then I decided to install the new Pie rom. So I wiped the OS and I thought that I would be able to flash the Pie rom with twrp, but I wasn't successfull. Then I was able to install the stock recovery. Now I have been trying to install the OS through the stock recovery chosing install from adb but i get this error "the last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it". I tried in other computer but when I try to install the OS using the adb comand "adb sideload myfile.zip" in recovery mode, I get the error "cant read myfile.zip".
I also tryed to use the option "install from internal storage" but I dont know how to copy the rom to the OP5.
Can you please help me?
Thank you.

Hello, i'm having a problem with Magisk breaking my ability to receive phone calls. I began having this problem when switching from Liquid Remix to Omnirom, and then back to Liquid remix. I can dial and call people just fine, but can't receive calls. They will hear a set amount of rings, and then go to voicemail.

I've even tried flashing back to stock OOS and then factory resetting the phone before flashing Liquid again. I can receive calls perfectly fine until magisk is installed.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Magisk itself should not break calls, but did you use any magisk modules?
Rooting in general won't interfere with that functionality

Nope, no modules installed. Once magisk is flashed, the ability to receive calls goes away until I re-flash a ROM again. I just found out this morning that this problem doesn't occur when I'm running OOS though, only when I'm on a custom ROM now. Still pretty puzzled as to why it's Magisk that's causing this though.

Hi everybody!
I have stock 1+5 (Stock recovery, locked bootloader, OOS 9.0.3).
Screen broken. i can't see anything. But ADB still shows my phone in devices attached. But data encrypted. Is there any way to connect my PC to the decrypted data of my phone via ADB?
For example: if i have TWRP intalled, i boot my phone in recovery, and send to recovery code:
Code:
adb shell twrp decrypt 'my password'
And data will be decrypted and i can easilly pull all information from my device to my PC.

But, which code i need to use with stock recovery to decrypt data? Is it possible?

Touchscreen Issues - Rather than give a long story or history of my OP5 here's my problem and possible solution. Once in awhile my touchscreen completely stops working and is not fixed by reboot, cache wipe, or factory reset. Hard brick recovery to OOS 5.1.7 seemed to work until recently. I believe the issue is actually due to a faulty motherboard flex cable. I also can't help but notice the abundance of motherboard flex cables available online. Has anyone else come to this conclusion or replaced their motherboard flex cable?

The downloaded system updates are located at /storage/emulated/0/.Ota

You can always flash them manually, depending which update you have and other circumstances.
That's where I thought it'd be but I don't have an OTA file on that path...

Edit:
Nevermind...it was hidden!
