i have the xperia arc LT15a, and thats the problem!
i have flashed the LT15i 3.0.A.2.181 Global Customized, rooted my phone using gingerbreak v1.20 and did a OTA update to 2.3.3 build 3.0.1.A.0.145 (ofcourse its for a LT15i) after that update, my pc companion is not giving me the option to update to build 4.0.A.2.368 (before i flashed the first rom, i had the option to update the build, and yes i know that if i updated it will wipe everything and unroot me). after all this mess, i have flashed another rom, which is LT15a 3.0.1.A.0.145 NAM and still pc companion doesnt give me the option to update to build 4.0.A.2.368.
so im left with two options, either i flash the rom with that build, but its for the LT15i, which will give me 3g connection problems in some areas in my country...
OR
i can modify the build.prop file and change these lines
ro.product.name = LT15a_1249-7057
ro.build.fingerprint = SEMC/LT15a_1249-7057 /
ro.semc.version.cust = 1249-7057
ro.semc.version.cust_revision = R3C
and try to connect the phone to pc companion and see if it gives me the option to update. so i want some advice here...will the modification of the build.prop be dangerous or what?
