Screen tearing issue

Hi,

I have a very strange issue, where the I get just some crazy things on the screen after several Wakeups. If you tap anywhere, it changes, so it must be a problem with the screen driver or something like that. I tried both, the "normal" and the hporch32, but same thing with both. Doing kind of a "Hard-Reset" by pulling the battery out and back in works, but I don't think that this is the way it should be. Any Solution?

Apart from that, it's very cool to see old devices coming back to life, with ROMs like this

hello,
I also moved from the retail 2.3.4 to the latest 4.4.4 from the "development" forum.
The phone seem to be working well overall, but I have a few problems:
- the battery status is not very accurate/reliable/stable
- a few reboots
- screen wakeup sometimes not working well (sometimes weird display, strange bars, sometimes not displaying correctly the screen when waking it up).

I unlocked the bootloader,
rebooted, flashed the hporch32 boot & recovery & cm-11-20151122-UNOFFICIAL-olympus
rebooted, flashed the pico gapps

Anyone has a clue on how to fix it (if a fix is identified)

You just have to flash hporch32 boot AGAIN, if panel is your only problem

Thank you for your answer.
I just flashed it and noticed that the screen turns of for a few 10s seconds while powering up, which was not the case before.
For the rest, I will see in time if the weird displays happen again.

The other problem I noticed is with "appli google", when I want to use the voice to text feature in the keyboard.
1st I get a notice telling the application crashed/stopped
then the voice2text mmi appears again, and I hear the beginning of the sound to start talking, which loops for a little while (phone obviously seriously crashed), and ends up rebooting.

Issue after Encryption attempt

First of all I want to thank the OP for the effort for the Atrix MB860. I flashed the ROM (CM11-20151122) and everything was working fine for a week but I decided to apply Encryption to the phone. I didn't read the posts :crying:

Now during the Encryption screen I accidentally pressed the power button at the back and the Atrix rebooted. Its booting fine till the main welcome screen where it asks for the language/country but on selection the country it prompts 'unfortunately, Setup wizard has stopped' by pressing ok it moves to a blank screen. I can see the network signal bar and battery level on screen. The volume toggle works and the main power button (at back) also works.

I have tried to reinstall. (BOOT into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, format /system, /osh, /preinstall) & run safemode but noting is helping. Please guide what should I try next.

Well no one replied so I tried this Post [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1266589&page=2] so I tried 'CaelanT' Method and then 'Phalanx7621' http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1228633&page=2 method "Boot into fastboot. Connect to computer. Open. Command prompt and use fastboot to erase recovery, system, preinstall,system,boot, user data and cache. Then use fastboot to install the new bigpart_finalv2 recovery. Boot into recovery and install your rom".
Now it keeps on rebooting after selecting recovery mode. Please advice.

Yes I did as recommended on the first post. The odd thing is it doesn't give any errors during fastboot on the phone or cmd. I will attach images later.
Any other suggestions

Had you check with older versions ?
E.g. cm 7.2 ?

To verify that it isn't a hardware device fault ?
2nd option,
Have you seen that there is another version ? Had you tried it ?

3rd option,
If its a US ATNT device, than it is a different ROM you need.

Hi, guys, good job, definitely step forward for Atrix.

I just wonder, is there any chance to use WebTop dock station with this phone again, without Ubuntu, but as a screen, keyboard and touchpad for Android? Apparently, now it just says "No HDMI signal".

Oh, I see there is no feasible way to do it. I might just buy a stick with HDMI&USB outputs and WiFi in order to use WebTop again.

32Gb SD Card only shows 10Gb.

Hello, I installed that rom today, everything seems fine, but I have that issue... my 32GB SD Card is recognized as a 10GB card on my phone, while it's recognized as a 32GB card on my PC.

Any way to fix this ?

I have been reading and focusing on this thread as well as someone from xda is trying to help me thanks for the site and all the real stuff
I have atrix 4g I downloaded the adb and fastboot zip and unzipped and installed fastboot
though I did not install drivers via the adb/fastboot install because I had already downloaded the motorola drivers x64 for my machine and installed and it said success
so I have an atrix stuck at clockwork mod recovery v5 but how will my computer recognize the phone if it is stuck @ recovery screen

I made a copy of the recovery file (not the bigporch) and then renamed it recovery.img
