Can some please tell me if is possible to install the DU V8 ROM on the HTC evo 4g LTE s-on, because I have tried and will only get me to the logo at the boot screen and stays there. Thanks

Reboot into fastboot and fastboot flash boot boot.img from the du.zip

I'm trying to install V4A, which works with every other ROM I've tried, but it will not install on this ROM and claims a busybox error. When I go to install busybox, I see that the current version is 1.21, which is outdated. The most recent version, 1.22, installs just fine and there are no errors from the busybox (stericson) app, but when I reboot and try installing V4A, it fails with the same busybox error. Again, this is the only ROM that V4A does not work with, so I know it's not a compatibility issue with the apk I'm using. I've tried it on Liquidsmooth, Omni, InsertCoin, Viper, and several others, both on KK ROMs and JB ROMs, and they all have installed V4A just fine. I am on the latest hboot, radio, and firmware, using Captain Throwbacks 2.8.0.3 TWRP recovery, and have not had any problems with V4A installing on any other ROMs until this ROM. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or information about this issue. If there is a better audio mod that works with this ROM I will gladly try it out because I much prefer this ROM over any other stock KK ROMs. Thanks in advance.

Is there a GAPPS available for 8.1? I only see GAPPS for 8.0 available in the weeklies.

hi is it possible to put this rom on my evo 4G not LTE with hboot 2.10.0001 and s-off? Would i have to install the cpatins sense rom and bootloader in order for this to work? or can i simply not because its not an LTE device?

Please help, I install DU from twrp 2.8 and it goes fine, with no errors. But, when I reboot to system, it flashes with HTC logo and then it stuck with black screen. Is this a known issue?

after much learning and trial and error i have up and running Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 {Jewel} 8.1 on my Sprint Evo 4g Lte.
My job uses MDM to manage devices and deliver work/corporate email.
My job requires the device be encrypted.

when i try to encrypt my phone, it reboots and doesn't go through the encryption process.

I read post that have a custom rom on my phone should not prevent it for being encrypted.

are we able to encrypt device with this rom? how? Help//

I updated my Evo 4g lte to be able to use CM11 and now use Dirty Unicorn 4.4. I have some questions/problems I hope some one can help me with.

First I sometimes have a problem when I'm watching a youtube video and turn the phone to go to landscape mode, the phone will freeze and then reboot. Not sure what's going on with this.

Second, yesterday something happened to my phone. It was setup with the status bar at the top where the time and date are. At some point during the day the phone decided it would hide the time and date etc. If I swipe down, like I want to open the quick settings, the time and date will appear but after a couple seconds it disappears again. How do I change that so the time and date will stay visible?

You can use the same GAPPS. They don't change just because the ROM version does.

They only change if the Android version changes from say Kitkat to Lollipop.

In this case, you're good man.....

I've tried uninstalling, wiping, EVERYTHING, and the wifi doesn't even turn on. I can't activate data because the phone doesn't have a plan anymore.

Any quick solution i missed while skimming the thread of help?
