changing default keyboard

Hi - I've searched the thread for "change keyboard" and also looked in the settings > keyboard area, as well as do the classic of long hold in text input area and expect a "set input method" option (but that doesn't happen). So could someone please tell me how I change the keyboard - it's a deal breaker if I can't use my favourite - Smart Keyboard Pro with AutoCorrect built in. Apologies if this is obvious - I've searched on Google too.

Thanks for the ROM - I'm a long time user of sultan ROMs but thought I'd try something different, hopefully faster - looks promising!

strange.. iv been using go keyboard for a long time and its working great with viper. use keyboard option/settings to set it as default keyboard.
otherwise disable viper keyboard from setting -->apps.
or last after installing smart keyboard u can un-install viper keyboard with the help of syatem app uninstaller /dx tool box... or any other similar app ... u can get it from play store

Hi - I thought I'd write back - first two thank the writer for the information, and also to clarify what worked, for other readers:

- download and switch on alternative keyboard in Language and Keyboard (under settings)
- disable "HTC sense input" - find it in apps (under All)
- reboot - nothing changes without doing this

Wifi problem

Hello guys! After installing ViperS 5.3.0 my wifi doesn't see the networks that are in my house. I am standing with the phone right next to my router and no results when scanning. This happened after i did a wipe and reinstalled my 5.3.0. Did not make any changes to the router or anything. Does anybody know what happens? I will wipe everything including sd card once again to see if i still have this problem meanwhile maybe one of you guys can help me. Thanks!

Are you s-on?
If so, you have to flash boot.img via fastboot directly after flashing rom in recovery.
Or use the SmartFlash option in 4ext recovery.

I flashed the viper 5.3.0 but my phone keeps stopping at the white HTC boot screen after flashing it. I did a full wipe. No way. I dirty flashed still no way. I'm S-off I use d latest 4ext. Pls help

try to flash the boot.img via fastboot command
or redownload the rom
otherwise change the kernel (liberty kernel link in my signature)

Hi, can any one help me.

How do you enable both horizontal quick settings bar and horizontal quick launch at the same time in the notification area. I have attached the picture to show this.
I know you long press the notification bar but that only toggles between either but not both.

most of us has this issue including me
i would say to wipe battery stats but it won't help
what i do is to charge the device when it is OFF
