is the neatkernel compatible in this ROM ? hope capable because neatkernel is my savior to boot my Samsung Captivate.
My USBstorage is currupted thats why i use NEATKERNEL to swap in my repartition SDcard.

No. I don't think so. Your captivate won't bootup with this ROM + Neat kernel

Hello,

I have slimbean on my captivate with semaphore. When I try to flash this rom, it tells me that my phone is a i9000 instead of an i897, which it actually is. Which Kernel can I flash that works with this rom, but also is a captivate kernel?

That would be cause you flashed the I9000 version of Slimbean. You can change it in your build.prop but wouldn't suggest it if you're new at it.

Go into your phone settings and check what variant/version is says you have. If it says I9000, you'll have to flash the I9000 version. That being said, if you're 100% your phone is an I897, flash back to stock, grab the I897 Slimbean and then flash Semaphore.

No responses to that in the original thread. I have gotten this bug too. Searches tell me to remove my google account, clear the caches of Google Play, reboot, put in my google account and all will be well. Worked for everyone else on the google searches except me and maybe danielad200.

Any help or suggestions out there?

APN

5.0.2 With Gapps has been my daily driver for a few weeks now, its really smooth. Only thing that seems laggy to me is making calls, and the time lapse between receiving a call and the screen waking up.

5.1 Is worked even more smooth, only issue that I've had is for some reason, I'm not able to access Data with my APN. All my settings are correct. WIll try flashing again, to see if that might help. Is there anything that you recommend? Data worked fine with 5.0.2.

Random Reboot

I am still experiencing random reboots. Normally it happens if i am on the call for 8-10 min.

Works smoothly on my captivate no problem in connection to buttons functioning. although it has many bug issues timely some developers would fix them. Many Thanx to Humber OS creator cause of for captivate the exclusive LP OS made available.

I've been using this series of ROMs practically since they were released. I wanted to say a huge thank you to HumberOS and Monfro for the work they have done.
I personally have found, after testing each release, that Monfro's April 5.1 port is the most stable, smooth, and quick of all of them. I can't really vouch for anything related to taking calls though, as I don't have a SIM in it.

i897 best option

I have a Samsung Captivate i897 and just put 4.4.4 KitKat on it. Running a bit slow. How does OS version 5 work on the captivate? If people had to recommend a particular OS that was the most current you could get without any real loss in performance what would it be? Found 2.3.5 was fine the few minutes I was on it. But that's pretty old. Was originally going to go for 4.2.2 but found an article on 4.4.4 so went straight to it. Curious other's opinions.
