Q&A for [UNBRICK] HTC Unbricking Project

Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer. Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

Links are down

hey guys

I got some pm's that dl links are down. Turns out that the hosting server took a bullet and sadly the backups are ancient-ish. I'll rebuild the files and re-up hopefully in the week.
It would be great if you reuploaded the files again! :good:

do you mean these files?
4shared.com/archive/R00YnG-3ba/Unbrick_Pyramid_32bittar.html
4shared.com/archive/pVtU3BDYce/Unbrick_Pyramid_64bittar.html
I just realized that I've actually commented on the wrong thread. I need those files, but my model is the Evo 3d GSM (shooteru) - would you please reupload its files, too?
Thanks for sharing anyway! ;)

Hello,

So I am trying for about 6 hours to determine why Linux isn't detecting my phone.( Can t get pass the step with ./brick...sh)
I couldn t download the livecd for Linux in the 2nd post, if you could repost it or a mirror could be great.

When i tried:
$ sudo dmesg | grep "qcserial"

Where i got : "Qualcomm USB modem converter detected".

So could anyone help?

Edit1: Could it be because of the vers. of linux?
dev/sda1 ... dev/sda4 where all umounted.

Still waiting for the devs. help

Aren t these from the original post of unbrick? Anyway I tried them and nothing happened.
Still getting the device isn't detected.
Do you have other ideeas, suggestions?

Edit: I think that the problem may come from the Linux LiveCd.
After using :
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.media-handling automount false
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.media-handling automount-open false

When I type the command: lsusb in the terminal I can still see:
Qualcomm, Inc. Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode)
in the list

So maybe the problem is still with the automount?
I saw using dconf-editor that automount and automount-open are unchecked.

Hello Gentlemen. I have a question for you if I can save my HTC.
looks like the phone is dead. It does not give signs of life when you try to turn it on.
When I plug it into the computer it sometimes appears as:
Code:
  Qualcomm USB modem converter detected.

Qualcomm USB modem converter now attached it ttyUSB0
And sometimes as:
Code:
HTC (High Tech Computer Corp.) Desire / Desire HD / Hero / Thunderbolt (Charge Mode)
The combination of Power + Vol Down does not work.
The circumstances of death are not known to me since I got the phone in this state.

Any proposal. ?

P.S sorry for the language, I use a translator.
