[Q] About to buy the M8!

Hey guys, so It's already time to upgrade from my G2. M8... Great choise, isn't it?
Kay so, the guy who's gonna sell me it has the Verizon version, and i saw some posts that you can't root / Unlock bootloader / etc ? Is there other ways? I might get the phone but I'd miss root at least.


If the answer is no, which variant should I get? (I say variant because Carrier is the same thing for me because I live in El Salvador, so)

If you are on or up to 4.4.4 then you are lucky.If you are on above that (Lp) then there is still not Unlock bootloader option.
Even if you are on LP it won't be a problem ONLY if you buying a used or new s-off device.About the carrier,if your carrier is veriozn which is cdma then this is the best variant.
Yes,i think other carriers do not have that bootloader unlocking problem (you can unlock bootloader via HTC Dev).This is verizon prob.

Bud,we only need to unlock our Bootloder & s-off,because after after s-off we can flash custom recovery & supersu.zip file to gain permanent root.

Thanks bro, and Thank god the guy who's gonna sell me the one (Silver one, i wanted grey one though ) said he got confused and he actually has Kitkat, so yeah htc dev will help now lol. but anyways I'll s-off later. Thank you again

FYI there is a another method via java card.But i do not know for sure that it works on lollipop.Yo can do it with sunshine according to KK OS.Gud luck bud.Me too waiting for my new M8.:crying:
