Oh, sorry!!!
The problem is that the damn MTK tools has the save scatter button grayed out, I can't save it!!!
I tried different versions, messed with the program .ini file but it doesn't work

I would like to downgrade to try your KK root method but that scatter thing is crazy.

Acer has crippled us for good with this update

The Button is Grayed Out Because You are Not On Root :(
So unfortunately ..
But Here You Go Solution If You want to Downgrade Go to Acer Official Site Find Your Tablet And Look For support and there in OS Download The same Version of Yours and try to upgrade via Recovery
Hope It Works :good:

Maybe useful infos (it's russian, just open in chrome and translate the page... unless you can speak russian!!)

http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=455843&st=420&p=28588213&
http://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showtopic=435463&st=180

They basically say that MT8389 is equal to MT6589, so I could find some txt scatter files on Google
Could you use these?

Examples

I asked for the scatter file myself, check out the thread if anything good comes.
Btw.. I found a scatter file inside the official Acer update.zip, but I could't come to understand how to use it in SP flash tool. I think you may take a look at this too!!!

PS: once you get 10 posts or so you can post in developer forums, you are almost there

Fail

I Already Got My hands on one of Those But No Use :( They are not in SP tool Format From all The Three Scatter files You Gave Above Only One MT6572_Android_scatter.txt Works And Is Loaded By Flash tool But The Problem is its Not for A1 810 Flashing With It Could Permanently Brick
So I decided To Not to Take Risk Wait two More Days Or Flash With It Itself.

:( :highfive:

What about putting the partition hex from A1 810 inside the MT6572 file?
I tried to figure out how the whole scatter thing works but I'm kinda lost here:good:

Btw you have 11 posts so try posting in dev threads, you should be OK now

I like having it in a new thread to make the info easier to find. I like that you posted a link to this thread in the toolkit thread and that will help people find it.

Maybe if somebody could post their mtkdroid tools log.txt file it might be possible to figure why you can't make the scatterfile with droid tools. The device doesn't need to be rooted to make the file.
Also I noticed that in your pic here Spflashtool shows the device as nand and I believe it has emmc type memory, maybe this has something to do with the scatter used as mt6572 are mostly nand devices.
I think this device has the mt8125 chip which is part of the mt6589 quad core family.
I don't have this device, just an interested spectator.

Here you go :good::good:

Ok, well I'm no expert at reading these log files and unfortunately the dev who created the program @rua1 has not posted on these threads for some months now, but from what I can see, droid tools identifies the cpu as mt8389, which I believe is almost identical to mt8125, but the droid tool does'nt support either, and nor does Spflashtool btw, so what you could try is this, if you open the Mtkdroidtools.ini file by right clicking on it and choosing edit, look for the following line;
MTKsocs = ^(MT65(16|72|73|75|77|89|92)|8135) and change the 8135 to 8389
then look for the line
SocToScatName = 6513:6573,6515:6575,6517:6577,8317:6577,8377:6577 and change 8377 for 8389 and the 6577 for 6589, like this
SocToScatName = 6513:6573,6515:6575,6517:6577,8317:6577,8389:6589 Then save the file and close.
Don't know if that will work but its worth a try, if it does it should produce a scatter file named MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt which Spflashtool should recognise
Hope this helps:fingers-crossed:

If you rename the scatter file to MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt and load into SP flash tools you see that everything changes in the partitions column. May it be working like this?

    I meant, I tried the micro USB port in the tablet, but I don't know if a full-sized USB port would work instead ;)

    Please Quote Everyone Else Who Need Help

    Here's How I Managed To Flash My Tablet with SP Flash tool
    For raw files see

    Tried Flashing ACER ICONIA A1 810 With SP Flash Tool Using The Raw Data Provided
    Works Like Charm But You Need Modified Version Of SP Flash Tool Which Is Compactiable With A1 810/811 And Rest Is On the Thread Or Here You Go

    Download flashtool here: click, unpack and launch it.
    Press "File" → "Open Scatter-loading file..." and choose scatter from firmware folder.
    Now press "Window" → "Write Memory". One more tab will appear, open it.
    Press "Open Raw data" and choose "secuoff.img" file from firmware folder.
    Choose an EMMC Memory setting
    Start Address: 0x3D80000
    Copy value from "File Size (bytes)" to "Container Length"
    Press "Write Memory", connect your turned-off tablet to PC. Progress bar will fill with red, then with gray-green, then you will see a green circle. Disconnect your tablet.
    Go to Download tab, press "Download" and connect your turned-off tablet again. Progress bar will fill with red, (probably) then with purple, then with yellow, (probably) then with gray-green. After this you will see a green circle. Disconnect your A1-810 from PC and put it on charging for 10 minutes.

    Special And Only Thanks To FireDiamond For the above Guide and link to the special version of flash tool
