I got it through chat with Microsoft it was really easy they just asked me my name & contact no that's all , they generated a code for me in few seconds but when they ask for the phone model don't forget to mention its "HTC HD 7"

Hello everyone,

I also have issue to get activation code of Windows Live Services. I understand you have same problem.
One day, I read a guidline in tinhte.vn(a smartphone forum in Vietnam) that how to get activation code.

Please try this solution:

1. Go to Microsoft live service chat support
URL: support.microsoft.com/gp/cu_sc_selector_chat#

And then click to Product Sales, General Inquiries and Genuine Advantage Questions

2. In the popup windows:

2.1 Fill your email address( [email protected])
2.2 Select For assistance with a product key in What is the reason for contacting Microsoft?


3. Chat with supporter by English, you must tell to supporter that you have HTC HD7 but don't have activation code.

Ex: this is my chat history, and supporter give to me an activation key

Please wait for an agent to respond. You are currently '1' in the queue.

well, for me you just have to chat with the customer service care and in the description. Just say " Hi, I just got a HTC HD7 and for some reason, when I logged into the window live, it required me to insert the activation code. Do you have any idea how may I obtain the code?"
That's it. The reps will take care of you right away without asking too much.

well i input hd2 instead of hd7 they said they dont have enough resources i am so mad and sad could anyone help me get it?
Just do it again, pretend you have no idea what your talking about, play dumb if in the unlikely event they ask why you said HD2 last time just plede ignorance, say you thought it was an HD2 but apparently its an HD7, its got three buttons down the bottom....

If at first you dont succeed, lie, and keep lying until you win :D
