[Q] Advice? Traveling to Australia and would like to use my ATT Note 2

I'm currently using scott's cleanrom and would like to also upgrade to 4.3 so I can use the galaxy gear.

With that said, I'm also going to be traveling from the US to Australia for a month or so and I would like to use my own phone.

Any recommendations on what rom to use and how to use the local (Vodaphone?) network including data.
