[Q] Altec Lansing Mxultra problems

So I got a great deal on these phones and I was excited to use the built in volume and microphone features.

Neither feature works....I'm on Superclean EB01 2.4

I would appreciate any ideas.

Its the headphones themselves. Doesnt have anything to do with the phone. Most heaphones with a volume control and mic only work on Apple products.
