If you really want to know lol I was trying my iPhone 5 at my parents place because they used to have no service on the carrier I use.... Put sim card in iPhone and left the sim card tray and adaptor for the nexus there when I left. So I had to suffer with iOS for a few days :p

The iPhone is basically my iPod now.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app

Ever think it could be kernel?

Why not try it stock and see if you have issues before reporting on said issues?

#stayparanoid
Yeah you're right, I'll try it without the kernel.

I never thought it could be it because I do not possess the needed skills to acknowledge a kernel could be in the way of a non working gyroscope. I just limit myself to follow guides.

I'll report as soon as I do what you guys suggested. Thanks!

Think about it this way:
What is the job of the kernel?
To provide an access layer and interaction with the hardware. It allows the software to communicate with the hardware....
Aka, the kernel controls the hardware, and the ROM sits on top allowing you to interact with the functions of the hardware

getting root back in PA 5.0?

Hi there, I read all the posts since Feb 2 in this thread and in http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/aospa-paranoidandroid-4-4-beta1-t2020336

And I do see some references to root being optional - user choice - in PA 5.0+. But i can't find references to how to get root back after upgrading to 5.0. I seem to have lost it (or at least, none of the apps which require root think that they are getting it). Otherwise, everything seems honkey dorey after upgrade.

Am I missing anything here?

You didn't 'lose root'. It is not included in the 5.x builds. In order to get root access back you just have to flash SuperSU zip in recovery...

Root access comes from having the su binary installed in the /system and having a superuser apk to control root access. It is not something that persists between ROM flashes and means nothing outside of your running OS. Most Roms include it with their builds which gives you a perception of 'keeping root'. It would benefit you greatly to understand what root actually is, and you should evaluate whether you really need it.

Hi! Amazing ROM, I've used in KitKat for months. Now I'm trying to install 5.0 but the "Stock GApps" keeps giving the error 70. I know it means insufficient space in System, but it seems strange to me, because on KitKat I flashed this package.

Sorry for my English
How is it strange that lollipop takes up more space on the partition than KitKat?
