[Q] Android 3.1: USB Hosting support for external hard drives?

I have been trying to find the answer to this question.

Will the new USB hosting mechanism be able to mount and read an external drive filesystem? If it can then i do not care if the microsd card doesn't work on the xoom.

For those that have Android 3.1, can you test?
