I've got a handful of Amazon - free app of the Day

But some of the apps I own through Amazon are showing up as " .10 cent apps " in Google's special offer week

Is there any benefit ( like auto updating ) that I should consider grabbing the same app from < G-market > to swap out of the Amazon version. .10 cents is pretty close to free, so the cost isn't an issue.

I know it's the same app, I'm curious if there is any reason why I might want to pick up the Google version like --it may be easier to manage using the Google version - or some other reason I hadn't thought of.

Thanks

I would say there is very little reason to buy an app you already own. If you got it free on Amazon then buying it at Google will help support the developer who probably got nothing for the app you got on Amazon, but buying it for 10 cents might not be that much better.

Also, a dev may update the Android Market app more than the Amazon app, but this is really dependent on the developers process and may sometimes got the other way.

I would check the versions on your apps, if the Android Market has a never version and you are wanting to spend money on it then it might be worth it; However, I think there is also an issue between Android Market and Amazon App Store where your device may get confused and won't install or update, so it may not be worth the trouble.

.. what about DRM .. ?

Not seeing your point
Amazon uses an Amazon specific DRM, and apps with not work if the Amazon App Store is not installed. My understanding is Amazon will sometime limit the number of devices a app can be used on.

The Android Market is less restrictive; although I have not tested its limits.

I personally do not and will not use the Amazon store because I don't trust Amazon nor like their approach to Android in general.
