[Q] Anyone have a Sony NEX Camera with NFC?

I have a Tmobile D851 and I it worked fine out of the box with my Sony NEX 5T's NFC. I wanted to add Qi Charging so I bought an OEM intl backplate with NFC+Qi and now Qi works but NFC seems to work only in certain circumstances... ie it will pair with my other NFC enabled phones but it wont detect the NFC on my Sony NEX. Anyone else able to get theirs to work?
