[Q] Anyone in the PHX area?

I would like to upgrade my Nook Color to a more advanced op system and was wondering if anyone could do this in the Phoenix area. (for a fee, of course) I am 70 yrs old but a little bit of a nerd and afraid to try it myself.

It's understandable your trepidation on trying this on your own, but it's very easy. Also, sometimes issues come up and if you have someone else do it, you're completely without any knowledge on how to even start fixing it. Many guides exist here and the Nook developers and users are a great bunch. Throughout XDA, I honestly haven't seen what goes on here elsewhere. Most are very nice and professional and actually know what they are talking about and very willing to help anyone out who is willing to do some work.

Leapinlar is one of the most active members of the Nook forums. Shumash just released his first custom rom for the touchpad.

I find the whole thing genuinely inspiring. You can do it!
